Few films I watched recently:
Oppenheimer - Murphy is great but I think Robert Downey Jr is better, an utterly amoral, duplicitous bastard. The film itself was rather sterile and a shame they didn't include films of the bombings. I found the title character quite tragic.
The Meg 2 sadly just bad, not entertainingly so. Just seems to go on and on. Still all good publicity for the dear old PRC!
The Lighthouse (2019) a two hander with Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson as Victorian lighthouse keepers on an isolated island. Where to start with categorising this - horror, thriller, character study, existentialist bullshit? Probably all of these but hauntingly shot in black and white with both leads not what they seem.
