Last Film You Saw

Interesting that "Dream Scenario" has only been mentioned once in the last few pages. Is it because Nicholas Cage is not everybody's cup of tea?

Well, I agree he's not, but every so often, every... so... often... there's a role that suits him ("Pig" is the other in the last few years) and he, actually, plays well within himself. I'm watching this film and it takes a while to stop thinking there's going to be a 'Cage' moment.

Whilst he's not superb, by any means, the film just seems to build around him and the experience is all the better for it.

The film is interesting, quirky and worth the time to watch.

Watched Rebel Moon, really enjoyed it! Certainly wears it's homage to Seven Samurai on it's sleeve.

In the shadow of the moon, from 2019, starts off as a crime procedural where people are being found dead bleeding from the eyes. The only suspect falls on a subway track and hit by a train.

Then she turns up , 9 years later.......
Really enjoyed this one, though the ending was abrupt!

The Foreigner with Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan, an excellent thriller set in the Province..... Chan got to show off some acting ability and Brosnan showed more range playing a character in no way related to the would be republican power broker ex high command of the ira. Even though with his silver hair and beard I kept expecting everyone to call him gerrymandering.......
I had low expectations but greatly enjoyed it, not convinced its take on Irish politics is 100%, but Chan is the man!

I have feeling I will like it to love anything like this! Probably watch it this weekend

Gonna give Rebel Moon a try next and then Leave the World Behind. Watched Dream Scenario which was badged as a comedy, but is really a satire. Thought it was okay 6/10 and pretty thought-provoking, wife didn’t like it, “didn't get it” and put it at 3/10 !

Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

This, along with Dazed and Confused, and American Graffiti, makes me so nostalgic for a time when I wasn't even born yet.
