Watched Rebel Moon, really enjoyed it! Certainly wears it's homage to Seven Samurai on it's sleeve.
In the shadow of the moon, from 2019, starts off as a crime procedural where people are being found dead bleeding from the eyes. The only suspect falls on a subway track and hit by a train.
Then she turns up , 9 years later.......
Really enjoyed this one, though the ending was abrupt!
Boy, I'm trying think of something that suits this film...
Ah! A famous/ infamous Orange President once said "Not good, believe me... Not good!"!
Really, I think Snyder is a terrific director I really do, but why he insists on writing, I'll never know! He's better off just directing. Like I think he'd be amazing at directing 'Superman: Red Son' as a film, just not writing it, full stop. Even helping with the screenplay would be decent.
But this, like so many others he's made (not all) lacks warmth, depth and personality.
Truly, as an admirer of his direction, I'm disappointed in this offering as a (semi) complete work.
