Anyone recommend a good 'space/sci-fi' film?
My boy just expressed a desire to watch more of these and I'll jump at the chance to watch stuff with him (and that may likely be tonight when his mother and siblings are out).
He loved Interstellar and Blade Runner 2049 (as do I).
We'v watched the new DUNE too so I started to think of something new. This type of film can be sketchy....either looks great but awful script or dated (when sci fi was more popular).
Prometheus might be one to dial in - I enjoyed this, but then I'm struggling....
Yeah, Amadeus is a great film.killers of the flower moon ,7/10
Amadeus 8/10 never seen this before didn't think it would be my type of film great cast.
Trying out films on my new setup, Top Gun Maverick 9/10 still a fantastic sequel, looks and sounds great
Dune (the new one) stunning picture and the sound is unreal 7.5/10
It's tanking online..Against my better judgement i put on Rebel Moon. Lasted half an hour. What a steaming pile of shit and egregious use of slow motion. The film is probably only an hour long but every action sequence is doubled cos its all slow mo. Like he only has one trick and just keeps using it to death.
PG-13: Gattica, Edge of Tomorrow, John Carter, The Time Machine (1954), Galaxy Quest, A.I., Cowboys and Aliens, Oblivion, Minority Report, Ready Player One, I Robot, Real Steel, Passengers, Mystery Men ( not scifi - superhero stuff but great so I included it )Anyone recommend a good 'space/sci-fi' film?

Thanks all - some I have on my list, other's I've missed so will add them.
He enjoyed Promethus last night - a film that recieved tepid feedback at the time (one of those that didn't live up to the trailer) but I think it's matured over the years since it was made.
He loved Arrival btw (as did I).
Villeneuve has to be one of the pre-eminent Sci fi film makers of this generation.
Wild card perhaps, but the original Solaris (and remake with Clooney) might be worth a shot too.
2001 too....that film still glows.
Torchy the battery boy 8/10.Anyone recommend a good 'space/sci-fi' film?
