Apart form Jaws, there has literally never been a good shark film, so didn't expect much from this. It's not awful, but it's certainly nothing to write home about either

Both good shark films I'd say.

Just watched saving private Ryan. What a film and it really does give us an incite to the horrors of war.

Apart form Jaws, there has literally never been a good shark film

Orca (1977) - A killer whale seeks vengeance for the death of its mate, its basically Death Wish on water with the whale acting out as Charles Bronson.

Rogue (2007) - Aussie Gator horror from the director of Wolf Creek (2005)
The Reef (2010) similar in theme to Open Water (2013) but I liked it more.
Bait (2012) - Aussie horror about shoppers trapped in a flooded supermarket with a great white shark.
47 Meters Down (2017) - Plenty of shark on divers underwater action.
