T2 indeed lacks the punch of the original. Nostalgia is nice (but umpteen references to the original means I think it would struggle to make much sense if you hadn't seen the original). No real controversy (like a film that showed addicts overdosing, or letting their baby die, or crawling into a toilet bowl, supposedly "glorified" drug-taking). Some odd editing as well - "Raging Spud" seems to be based on a sequence that ended up on the cutting room floor. Still essential viewing.

Live by Night - Unlike doots i kinda enjoyed it, it does look like a shitty love story at first but it does kick on. Made to win awards but the story and action i found spot on 7.7/10.
