Last Film You Saw

Everything Everywhere All at once - allegedly nominated for 11 Oscars so I thought I'd give it a go.
45 minutes in started to flick through my phone, then spent 10 more minutes watching once I realised Jamie Lee Curtis was in it, once I realised what her character was gave it 5 more minutes and gave up up - utter shite, critics obviously seeing something I'm not, it's like someone's had a nightmare, woken up, and put it on film - if you want to see people's fingers become hot dogs as they waltz for no apparent reason, enjoy the film..........
I thought I was the only one who thought the movie was absolute bullshit.

"or by not paying attention" - Pretentious fucking comment eh? yeah I realised about all the different universes etc, but it doesn't mean I have to be a sheep and go along with what the critics say as if I have to prove something unlike some people........

Not me that said '45mins in I started flicking through my phone' was it?

No...

Nowt pretentious about a not difficult film to follow. Being 'sheep' is following a film because of its great CGI and no storyline.

An interesting story with a low budget managing to combine in a great film.

Each to their own.

You can’t dislike a film that Bigga likes without being a moron or someone who is unable to grasp the concept of a film. I think Bigga is actually Mark Kermode. I’ve been planning to watch it so will check in again soon.

Never called him a moron.

Films can have multi layers of msging, so can be difficult to track as whole.

No, I'm not Kerm (it) ode.

Do you ever find there are certain actors who you really don't take to? Just put Murder on th Orient Express (1974), great cast, but as Poirot, Albert Finney is badly miscast. Seem to remember Kenny Everett (Tory knob) doing an extraordinarily shit impression of him as a French waiter.

When I try to think of great films he's been in...... There was a horror film wolfen in the early 80s, but he really doesn't make any impression. Skyfall I guess but it's a very small role. The dresser, thought Tom Courtney was better...Is it cos he was a rag?!?

By the same admission I can't fucking stand Ian mcshane, shit David Dickinson!!! Yet I absolutely love Christopher Eccleston in everything he's been in.

I detest Jared Leto but I think that's because he's dogshit.

Never been overfond of Johnny Depp but can recognise the quality and range of roles he's done.

Really hated Mads Mikkelsen in Casino Royale, but I think the part was underwritten. He's utterly watchable in Clash of the Titans, Rogue One, Fantastic Beasts, and terrifying in a way that Anthony Hopkins can only dream of in the series Hannibal.

Do you have any similar irrational acting prejudices? People who just get on your tits, so to speak?

Just thought you were being a wee bit condescending mate, but as you say, each to their own.......

Watched that new one on Netflix last night with Eddie Murphy and Jonah hill. Not sure what message they were trying to get through but it was very poor and tried to hard to be edgy.

Love Eddie Murphy but that film didn’t suit him.
