Last Film You Saw

Last couple of days, we’ve watched…
The Order - enjoyed it. Jude Law excellent. Good performances all round. Based on a true story from 1980’s. Worthy 7.5/10
A Complete Unknown. Fascinating portrait of the early years of Bob Dylan’s career. Timothee Chalomet once again superb in the lead role. You don’t need to be a Dylan fan to enjoy this.
8/10

Finally got around to watching…
Civil War - which is excellent. It follows a small group of press corps (war correspondents and photographers) witnessing and recording a brutal civil war in the USA between the Washington Government and breakaway states of the Western Federation. They encounter the horrors of war - violence, murder, brutality, and street fighting. There is no suggestion of why the war was being fought or who were the “good guys”. They put themselves in extreme danger, but in a voyeuristic way, almost addicted to the horrors of war. Riveting at times 8.5/10

Good assessment.

It IS an interesting film that looks deeper than just action. I've seen some opinions not understanding what they're watching, but that's okay, too.

What struck me was they never filed a story or submitted a photo. They seemed to be watching events & taking the photographs for their own purposes - and dare I say, pleasure.

Yeah, it was an adrenaline high to be in and around death 'live' as it were. Snapping life and death in precarious moments.

Almost a 'war porn addiction' as I'd describe it.

Margin Call. 8/10. Great acting from a fantastic cast. Only drawback for me is that
the movie ended unexpectedly without a real conclusion.
Will check it out, thanks! Any good things to watch on amc plus? I’ve heard they have a variety of content, including some unique original series. From what I know, they offer access to tons of exclusive shows, and there’s always something new coming out. It seems like a good platform if you’re into drama, thrillers, and some of the more niche genres. Plus, with their collection of movies, you can really binge-watch a lot of high-quality content without getting bored

Only just got round to watching the bombardment on Netflix. True story it based on a true story should say.

Very harrowing but well worth watching.

William Tell was ok bet there’s not many on here who remember the tv series like this foc

Mickey 17 - 7/10

Bong Joon-Ho has done better in my opinion with Snowpiercer and Parasite. It carries the same despair for the human race that those 2 films did but doesn't have the same strong final act.
