Don't mind Sandler. Yeah a lot of his films are are absolute garbage but The Wedding Singer, Happy Gilmore and The Longest Yard are really enjoyable romps.Sandler must have won a raffle to become an actor. He's as funny as a fire in an orphanage.
An absent father tries to communicate with his estranged daughter from behind a bookcase.Interstellar. 11/10. Just gets better and better everytime you see it.

Him and Will Ferrell. Two cheeks of the same shitty arse.Don't mind Sandler. Yeah a lot of his films are are absolute garbage but The Wedding Singer, Happy Gilmore and The Longest Yard are really enjoyable romps.
He's also excellent in Uncut Gems playing a more serious role. I would definitely recommend that film
Thank's mate this sounds right up my street.Went to see Soderbergh’s new film Black Bag tonight. Really enjoyed it 8 or 9 /10.
The plotting was a bit odd though; first hour seemed well paced and then last half hour maybe a bit rushed. The only other issue was Naomi Harris doing a northern accent. No need to love; it was just jarring the way it kicked in for the occasional word, and the character didn’t need it anyway; her usual London accent would’ve been fine.
But on the plus side, as well as being superbly filmed and photographed, and David Holmes still amazingly churning out top quality soundtrack work, the highlight has to be the cast. I mean the story is smart and involving, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a better leading cast of 7 players put together in a long time. I’m definitely not sure I’ve seen a better looking one.
Calling the lead spy George and giving him those glasses gives a clear nod to the past of the genre, but Fassbender makes the role his own.
Anyway, TL;DR, recommended.

I’ve lived here for 35 years and don’t think I can even remember seeing a fist fightThe Killing of America on Prime. A 1981 documentary that was seemingly controversial at the time for showing uncensored violence.
It's a journey through violence in America primarily since JFK was shot.
I lived in the US for a good many years and never saw an ounce of violence. I wonder if that was because of where I was or when I was there. Things just didn't seem so crazy then.
There's a lot in this show that rings true today it seems. It feels like those lost in America can only take so much before trying to destroy everyone close to them. It feels very it changes over time (protests, riots, crime, snipers, assassinations, serial killers, ... and now politics) but its always a sense of rage by the forgotten.
Definitely recommend seeing it, although very depressing.
Me neither. There are a tiny few unhinged rageful people who do the awful stuff and not only in the USA but proportionally more in the USA I'd imagine.I’ve lived here for 35 years and don’t think I can even remember seeing a fist fight
I lived in America and Australia and found both countries similar in that if you're prepared to knuckle down and learn a skill, get serious about work and put the hard yards in you can have a great standard of life.Me neither. Even though I saw no violence in person there I think violence is just an accepted part of American culture, as accepted as keeping poor communities poor and rich ones rich. The USA is such a crazy mixture of community and exclusion.
Within reason yes. But they make it very hard for some communities there. For example college fees are crazy.I lived in America and Australia and found both countries similar in that if you're prepared to knuckle down and learn a skill, get serious about work and put the hard yards in you can have a great standard of life.
Both countries have the opportunities for this. It's down to the individual.
Well it would be it was 1880 when it happenedI watched Zulu last night. Never seen it. Was away and had time.
5/10. An oddity now I guess. Everything about it is dated badly.
Pretty good visually for a film made nearly 150 years ago.Well it would be it was 1880 when it happened
