Can I just say that anyone whinging about is being a laughing stock over failed signings does not deserve to be a city fan.

Such a loser attitude that we should not try in case we fail and such thin skinned people do not have the character, heart or passion to be true blues and need to get a grip.

We are trying to do a deal for one of the best players in the world and have played hard ball we should be feckin proud of city!

And if you are too precious and soft to handle a bit of press or other fan ridicule then don't bother to get up in the morning as you are too soft for real life.

It's easy sometimes to forget that some posters are actually children. When you're 13, the prospect of being laughed at or 'losing face' can seem like the worst thing life can throw at you. For those of us who grow out of puberty, it becomes less of an issue. Of course, some posters are adult with the mindset of 13 year olds. Either way, experience with my own teenage children tells me you're wasting your breath suggesting that 'losing face' isn't really a grown up issue.
 
The irony is there is nothing a rag hates more when having a wind up át you than you agreeing with them, saying well played or visibly letting whatever they say go right over your head. All this sensitivity, laughing stock nonsense is entirely self imposed.

If anyone laughed at me over this I would calmly point out that no one with an ounce of sense would leave the best team in the world for city! Which is true

A lot of the papers said Churchill should try and make peace with Germany as we coildnt win, the media of its day ridiculed galileo for saying the world is round and people ridiculed the wright brothers when they said they could make a plane fly. Had they cared about that they would have gone home to their mums crying as they didn't like being teased and the world would be a different place. Thankfilly there are winners in life as well as losers and our owners will show they are winners and keep striving for the best they can and give the media and other fans the attention they deserve ie feck all!

i can't see how we could fit in Churchill, Galileo and the Wright brothers as well as Barry, Roque and Tevez and they won't be content to sit on the bench.

The ONE comment like that so far is most likely NOT a blue either, more than likely a rag WUM.

Why even start a topic with the words "laughting stock" as the title, when there has been ONE comment to that effect, and thousands of others that haven't been ?
 
Well said EB I for one would rather be knocked back by eto'o than sucessfully sign the likes of darren bent!
