Not only is he the best rider in the world but his team are the best team in the world by a long way. You could argue that 3 or 4 of the other riders in Sky’s Le Tour squad would have a decent go at winning the thing themselves if they were the leader.

Anyone who still doubts him have a read of this: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cycling/44694122

Correct mate.

They have taken the sport to a new level without a doubt.

This tour is going to full of scandal. Froome should of served some sort of ban while the investigation was on going.

Why should Froome be the only cyclist to be banned during an investigation into the use of a controlled substance (that is, an AFF)? It is not an illegal substance that was used. It's a substance that can be used within a threshold. It also does not require a TUE. The reason for the threshold is that ingesting Salbutamol through injection or pill (NB not puffer) at high amounts, over a significant amount of time MAY aid performance.

Froome was tested most race days last year as he was in the leaders jerseys a lot of the time. Of course, he is also tested regularly out of competition. Thus, WADA had significant amounts of data in which to analyse. They were not relying on just a handful of tests. Possibly 80 plus for the year.

It should also be noted that the scientist who advised on the Salbutamol thresholds that WADA use has already come and said his test now appears to be flawed as he set it based on assessing swimmers. He didn't appreciate impact such as dehydration and refuelling would have on the secretion of Salbutamol.

IF it was anyone else they would of been banned.

On what basis do you make that claim? Do you know that other cyclists have been investigated for AAFs but have not been banned?

Are you also aware that only those found guilty after an investigation into an AAF, are named? If Froome was favoured, why did, in all likelihood, the UCI leak the details about the investigation into Froome?

The tests aint worth a shit they do. The cheats are so far ahead of the testing equipment its crazy. There has been guys who didnt compete while being investigated and being honest its the right thing to do. Froome has played his part as soon as Sky had a sniff the story was being leaked and printed Froome was on Twitter and defending himself with all the bollocks. As i said before the tour is full of cheats. we all know it there isnt any clean team in it which is sad. I love the tour always have done but for the good of everyone they should set rules in no TUEs and or anything. Go clean yes the races will take longer but it would be the real test.

Also its all about opinions. Blueinusa your entitled to your opinion as much as i am. Fuck it we all have seen what has happen in the past the Lance years. The sport still hasnt been cleaned up and i dont think it will ever be if i am totally honest.

Its all bullshit the Froome and Team Sky. Even look at other reports Paul Kimmage has done in the past this a former pro cyclist he knows his stuff. Read what he has to say about Froome and Sky. He might to covering the tour and if he does i be interested in his view on the races.

Always worth reading is Kimmage, and his breakthrough book Rough Ride is one of the best cycling books I've ever read, so i'm a fan. However, that doesnt mean I'll buy everything he says hook, line and sinker.
Saying "even" look a Kimmage is a bit rich, as he's been critical of Froome consistently, and for a long time, so it hardly warrants an "even ... Kimmage", as if he's somehow been Froome's most staunch defender in the past.

My view is that people should keep an open mind on Froome, since as indicated in this excellent article and others, his rate of progression and improvement does warrant scepticism - although I hardly think one day of high salbutomol compares to anything like Armstrong levels of deception at all.
What I am more confident on the that Team Sky institutionally are no more cheats than most pro teams. As Shane Sutton admitted at the Select Committee, they sail as close to the wind as they can, and why not. For example, if an athlete does have a condition, and the UCI allow a list of medicines to treat that, why not choose the one that comes with the most other 'potential benefits' ?? It would be daft not to do so. Its pushing the rules you have been given as far as you can.

After what i have just watched and listened to, i can only hope that every French rider drops out in the first week as their so called sporting public deserve nothing.

Chapeau Froomey and lets hope team Sky can ram it down everyone's throats yet again.

Yep

Now then, with the world cup dove tailing with the world's greatest cycle race the war office will be getting nothing out of me in the upcoming weeks.

Grand depart from somewhere in western france.

8 flats
5 hills
1 individual time trial
1 group time trial

12 stages in the alps
10 in the Pyrenees

A bloody cobble stage which is on world cup final day but won't clash.

Obvious favourite Chris Froome spinning like a washing machine.

Can anyone beat him?

Coverage on itv Saturday.

Oh and Wimbledon.
Just five more years to find out who wins it.
The whole event is tainted.
