Did anyone see Jens Voigt wax lyrical about Froome the other day, saying what a nice, intelligent bloke he was, who is very hard working and talented, he said he was a credit to the sport and the sport should be very proud of him.

As I have said when we were talking about Wiggo earlier in the thread, he suffers a bit with Lennox Lewis syndrome as some people dont see him as British.

I'd add Jess Ennis to that list should she win gold.

They'll be hoping some Rag-supporting Essex **** will come back from Brazil with half-a-dozen golds and they'll be able to sideline Froomey's three TDF wins. I cannot think of any sports event in the world where, for nigh on three weeks solid, you have to be on top of your form. The year one of ours wins Le Tour is should be nailed on!

The smart money will no doubt be on Cap'n Rooney for such a magnificent and scintillating Euro show.
