I wouldn't mind seeing our b team beating their a team. If we lose, then fuck it, it was our second string team. If we win I'd laugh for a month solid.

Maybe just one change, to either play one of our first team mids where Angelino played or pick a specialist midfielder from the EDS to play there. Angelino is still learning the position.

I think Pep knows the psychological effect of beating the rags. It gets the fans going, it sent Mourinho into a tailspin last week and the press laps it up. On top of that, getting silverware early is another big psychological victory so the League cup is something I think he'd really like to win.

Also Guardiola is not a coach who restricts youth to the occasional early cup round - and when the manager is giving out league debuts here and there, none of the kids will care about the cup. Plus I'm sure if we get a decent draw in the FA Cup or 5th round of the League cup he'd chuck them back in.



I think we will set out to win this one - my biggest concern would be that Caballero would almost definitely play.

The end of the day it's the rags away and we can knock them out of a cup competition and get more bragging rights. Has to be the strongest team available.

Why bother risking players when there are more important games don't think we need all hands on deck to beat the Rags anyway.

After winning the cup for us last season its the least he deserves. I doubt if we will see a full city side start in this competition this season. If we beat the rags and say get to the semi final the fixture list in Dec/Jan is the most difficult in years and there is just no way we can field our best players in this competition unless god forbid we somehow manage to fall out of the championship race over the next 3 months.
