LEAGUE CUP WINNERS 2013/2014!! Post Final Thread

Great final ... great atmosphere, good game, great result, superb comeback ... and two goals we'll never forget.

Loved every minute.

Heaven knows perhaps they are as sour as their fans (the new one is that because they made a weekend of it they really won, RTG is is getting more ridiculous by the hour)

With Yayas goal it is just like one of his freekicks well drilled, at teh game I am not sure if he meant it, but looking at that gif he meant that alright
Same thing happened with the announcer I was listening to during the telecast. Whilst watching live, he questioned if Yaya meant the shot, but as soon as he saw the replay, he changed his mind and said definite shot.

i think this was supposed to be the outcome of the freekick,a moment or so earlier but silva touch was a tad heavy.

For the first goal what the fuck is the Sunderland player in the middle appealing for?!!
You're right. What is that?

He's going to celebrate with ya ya, yes?

Those goals...especially Nasri's...

This is how we do it
(This is how we do it)
La la la la la la la
La la lo lo lo lo oh

I think... as baffling as it is... he's trying to claim some of our players were offside and distracting the keeper.

Bit of a woman fest and sour grapes about us on their main forum

It seems that because we were not running around London blowing car horns and dancing and singing all the way home, that we don't care and the upshot is we are shit fans and because it meant more to them natural justice should have prevailed and they be given the cup

As for the noise, I did not hear much from them after Nasri's goal

I have no problems with them, but but it's a bit small time to accuse us of not caring, the last thing I would want to do after a cup final is go and rub it in, I thought we were very dignified with no gloating, perhaps it's the way they do things in the North East?

This chap thought a little more about it and whoever the city fan was who consoled the little mite i doff my cap.

Cracking lads from my experience yesterday. I don't begrudge them any of the success they're getting

absolutely, walking down the right hand ramp and there was a young lad bawling his eyes out in a sunderland shirt with his dad trying to calm him down, some middle aged bloke in a city shirt walks over and kneels next to the lad and tells him something, i only heard a little snippet like but something like 'you have nothing to cry about, you and your team did you proud, you won the weekend'

I just think that some of them are eating a large helping of sour grapes

It's never nice to lose a cup final (we know the feeling) and I understand that it was really big for them not being there for so many years, but just because we were not that demonstrative outside of the ground does not mean we don't care, why would 30 odd thousand of us pay out good money to go in the first place.

From where I was sat, it meant a hell of a lot to all the City fans sat around me

I think it's the nature of the internet and message boards especially is all. People who are happy tend not to post as much. People who are sad but proud of their team's effort will post but be reserved most likely. Then you have the people who need to feel burning anger to cope.
