League One Thread - 2021/22 | Sunderland promoted

Didn’t Moore spend a fair bit of last season in hospital with COVID as well?

Steve Bruce has a lot to answer for.

Yes m8 he did, didn't really fully take over until March.

Regarding cabbage head don't get me started, for all Chansiri has done wrong he gave him a month off to watch England Vs West Indies and he repaid him by jumping ship as soon as he could.

And he always committed the ultimate sin when on TV referring to both clubs as "Sheffield", there's not a lot Wednesday & United fans agree on but being called this is one of them.

Ah yes, Steve ‘Newcastle are my boyhood club why aye man’ Bruce. The guy who loves Newcastle so much he managed Sunderland. He’s so two-faced. I note Newcastle have got their mojo back under Howe.

And he’s an ex-rag so he won’t be much loved on here.

It's so predictable. It's not like Wednesday played badly either, but then some of your fans do seem to have this thing about Moore that if he doesn't get you into the Championship with the squad you have, he should be binned off. And replaced by who, exactly? Kneejerk sacking of managers does not help. I should know. As should any Watford fan. And Moore wasn't solely responsible for Wednesday getting relegated, did we forget the lack of wins under Pulis?

Over to you now, Sunderland. Everton and Sunderland have a bit of an affinity - we've got Reid, Pickford, Moyes, Oviedo, Pienaar, Vaughan and Rodwell in common, plus we both have annoying rivals (and the Geordies hate Pickford, a lot).
Wednesday played really well....I like Darren Moore a lot....I think he's a classy bloke....not close enough to understand how good a manager he is.

Interested @West Yorks Owl what you say about Gary Monk....from the outside looking in..he "appeared" to do well at Swansea....but then also went missing at Middlesboro....was Swansea a flash in the pan??..maybe.

I hope your squad stick together...and I hope we don't play you next year..as you'll take some stopping.....

Remember it well, King of all Geor... Mackems
Three future Blues in that pic.

Said yesterday that I felt out of the two that Sunderland need to get up if not there beck in there Merry go round situation.......... Wednesday have a decent squad in place going into next ....... the league won’t be near as strong with what’s coming down and for what’s coming up ( if 2 of that lot don’t go back down I will be amazed ) it’s a time to think straight at Hillsborough they where supposed to struggle big time this season under embargo’s etc ...........and if they carry the form they had over the 2nd period of the season then they will go up comfortably.......... good club great fans .......... I know football doesn’t work like this but the majority of football fans would rather see these two clubs in the PL over Bournemouth
As a matter of interest, which two promoted clubs do you think will go straight back down?

Forest Green and Exeter ........Bristol Rovers will do ok and so will Mansfield if they get up if they don’t then whichever teams goes up will struggle ..........tbh the league this season has been of very poor standard I have seen well over 30 games .......... only Mansfield H and Exeter H looked ok but the rest in a nutshell looked very big standard ........... shame Hughes wasn’t in just after Xmas because I would have fancied our chances

I know Exeter had a lot of last-minute winners, but they had a great run at the end of the season to take them from the edge of the playoffs to a chance of winning the title on the last day.

In contrast, I believe FGR were in terrible form over the last few weeks, but still got over the line to go up as Champions.

The Gas were only in the top three for the last few minutes of the season, but they too, had a great run.

You obviously know far more about League Two than I do. It will be interesting to see how they get on.
