League or Champions League?

Which would you rather win?

I really hope we win both. Then I really hope UEFA ban us from defending the CL title. It'll make a mockery of FFP and the closed UEFA shop. Winning the domestic league will show how strong or weak the PL's clout is too, in how they distribute UEFA-qualification.

With Madrid already out, Manure through and Liverpool 50/50, if we don't get through it will be seriously depressing. Next week we simply have to show Schalke who's boss and get an early goal or two. Perversely, our three away goals also have a downside - i.e. that we might go into a comfort zone. Pep won't let that happen.
I agree. If we approach this game correctly we'll win. The gulf in talent is significant.

It's looking very likely to be an PL vs PL tie next for someone..! Spurs or Porto would be the perfect tie.

Uefa would love to ban us but appear not to have enough evidence, however it is in their power to ensure we do not win it.
I think this is what they will do.
VAR is clearly the tool of choice.
I think we will be given the toughest draw possible assuming they allow us to get through this round and the Ref and the video panel will do the rest.
Anyone who cannot see the agenda against us is naive at best.

Unfortunately, i think we'll go out to a similar decision to what happened to PSG last night. We saw signs of it in the Shalke away game. If we are to win it then we have to be beyond exceptional. Cos its bent.

UEFA will never let us win champs league.
Same with PSG that was obvious last night
Or, maybe, PSG are serial bottlers in that competition? They should have buried United, penalty or not. A calamitous back pass, a calamitous piece of goalkeeping from Buffon, M’Bappe looking like he’d never played the game before, a serious lack of intensity in the second half. If there is a conspiracy over PSG, they don’t need hinderance from EUFA, they’re doing it to themselves!

Going to be difficult to rule out our goals this time with VAR. Now the penalty rule has been re-written and applied for handball expect plenty of shots aiming for arms.

After latest CL results I've sort of changed my mind, the league is far more important to me,without doubt, every season, and no more than this, but look whose through to the quarters,I fancy our chances against any of those through.

If we go through, which we should, the 2 I would like to avoid are Barca and Athletico, and the others that are through would say the same, plus not wanting us neither.

I'll always maintain the fact you need a lot of luck in cup comps, but fuck it let's have both this season

You sound like a paranoid Scouse - how will we get the toughest draw possible when it is a random draw? You are not suggesting that UEFA fix the draws - rig the process? What would the upside of that be ? If caught, which they would be eventually, mouths talk, the whole competition past and future would have no credibility and therefore future. What upside might there be - a team of their choice could win - hardly a worthwhile payback compared to the downside ... You may well be right about VAR etc.
