Celtic have what, 60-odd league titles?

They are only known for that one star on their chest as the first British team to win the European Cup.

I badly want back-to-back league titles but can certainly see why winning the Champions League is a game changer in terms of status and for our owners.

Anyhow, it's not mutually exclusive. We have put ourselves in an incredible position to win the Quadruple, we just need the luck to go for us too.

As proved by United last night, luck can swing both ways and Paris will have plenty of regrets.

Nobody can dispute they had a far superior set of players but winning domestic titles just isn't enough for them.

Us winning the Champions League could have an immediate impact in terms of global players wanting to join.

Going to be difficult to rule out our goals this time with VAR. Now the penalty rule has been re-written and applied for handball expect plenty of shots aiming for arms.

As we appear to be pretty adept at not conceding many shots on our goal, maybe, just maybe, this handball malarky will work in our favour.

After the results over the past two nights the question is gradually becoming less important. It is very much a possibility we can win both. There is potential for Lyon to get a goal and shock Barcelona and the QF lineup is then incredibly weak.

Of the teams currently through we would fancy our chances of beating all of them over two legs.

Atletico should hold on against Juventus too.

It comes down to luck of the draw but this competition is now blown wide open. Avoid Barca and there is no reason we cannot win the CL. We could do Barca over two legs but would prefer to avoid them for now.

Think about it for a second. All these referees, all in the loop to stop us?

I'm sure at some stage a referee would fancy themselves getting 'seriously' paid if they were to approach our owners to expose it...

It's simply confirmation bias and ineptitude on their part, based on nothing more than the narrative which has been set in stone for City.

You can't tell me they wanted Real Madrid out the other night? They waited five minutes for VAR and there's no way that call of the ball being out could be definitively made?

Very different to UEFA hating our money, that I agree with.

And they keep giving us good groups and great draws in the knockout stages too, You'd almost think they want us to win it.

Presumably you don't bother watching City, or indeed any other game, in the Champions League then? I mean, what would be the point if you know the results are pre-determined?

Also if the competition was fixed then I'm sure Ajax's third goal the other night would have been ruled out.

I'm 41 now.
I go to about half the away games.
I dont go to any champions league games though

Fair enough, each to their own. Think it's a bit odd to deprive yourself of some of the biggest games though on a far-fetched conspiracy theory.
