LeagueCup SF - Man Utd - away allocation of only 3000 (p30)

I reckon this is one of the few Cup games the rags can sell out so they were happy to see reduced away allocations. Hopefully, Blues will fill the Etihad for the 2nd leg so let’s hope City make the prices affordable for a wider range of our fanbase.
Can't see it, be at least 50 quid I reckon.

It's a disappointing decision from the clubs. I was really looking forward to two intense derbies with vocal away support at both grounds. Just another example of the fans being shafted by the clubs.

1894 STATEMENT : League cup Semi final - Reduced Ticket Allocation For Away Fans...
We note with dismay that allocations for away supporters for the League Cup semi finals have been cut drastically from the 10% of stadium capacity to the figure normally allocated for a Premier League game - circa 3,000.
The whole of Manchester - blue and red- was buzzing for these ties and part of that was the fact that allocations would be higher than for a normal League game.
If the clubs truly cared about fans they would have put these plans on the table and asked supporters to give their view.
We feel it is a very short sighted decision. What's next ? A Rangers - Celtic situation where away fans get less than 1,000 tickets each ?
We would like the clubs to confirm what if any consultation was carried out with any fan representatives - our information is that no consultation has taken place.
Fans join cup schemes and loyalty schemes and support the competition in the early rounds. They attend these games so that they can attend a semi final with a big allocation and be part of a spectacle.
There are many dangers here :
- The apparent lack of consultation will just mean that fans won't believe they count anymore. Fans being taken for granted.
- Clubs continuing to disregard what match-going fans want and need. (They will soon be asking us for season ticket money & justifying any increase in price)
- Possible downturn in interest in renewing cup schemes or attending future semi-finals or finals.
- More chance of City fans being in the United end and United fans being in the City end which ultimately could lead to more problems.
Its a hugely disappointing decision and one that we hope does not happen again.

It will really struggle to sell out. Midweek straight after Xmas. People still a bit skint and on tv. Think we will get about 52,000 and rags maybe 67,000?

Midweeks are a pain in the star to many people.

Don’t want to go to the shit ground anyway, more joy hearing ratboy and Tyler’s pain on tv as the 4th goal hits the back of the net to the chorus

Your fucking shit, your fucking shit, your fucking shit.

I'd be surprised if both legs didn't sell out, assuming it's priced sensibly.

Disgraceful from both clubs. Two clubs that couldn’t care less about their fans. I’d imagine the tickets to be at least 50 quid aswell.

I’m getting fed up of our club constantly treating our ordinary fans like crap. They only care about the people lots of money

Would never happen but a boycott would tell both clubs to fuckin ram this shite idea.
