Except the lino initially went with "goal" and headed for the half way line, and Mason blew for a goal, so we have no idea who decided it wasn't a goal, other than the Stoke defenders, and the keeper initially seemed to be bollocking his defence too.
Or the 4th official watching it on a monitor ? I saw the Lino running back towards the centre circle, Fat boy Mason gave it and then Stoke protested BUT if the Lino thought it was a goal and Fat boy clearly did they cannot change their minds, I am assuming the 4th official, who is not allowed to interfere (cough cough) had a quiet word in Fat boys ear.
That said, I am glad it was disallowed, can you imagine the media shit storm if we had gone on to win by 4 or 5 and that was the 2nd (killer) goal right before half time ?
