Laporte went straight in when he signed just saying.

I remember that but couldn’t recall how long between signing and starting West Brom it was.

I had a look and Laporte was announced on Jan. 30th and he started immediately the next day on Jan. 31st against West Brom.

What a debut it was, he was pinging balls left and right.

Would like to see Dias start vs Leeds.

The slobs are just older slobs mate.

The still like to mix it and are very full of em selves at the moment.

The media are sucking their cocks as their ‘ new favourite ‘Old’ club, bagging up Bielsa as if he’s just emerged on the scene.

The ignorant bastards don’t seem to realise he’s been around for 40 years. FOC !!
Fair summary, if crowds are back for Rags at home they will all emerge. Bielsa has only signed for a year , to be fair he has transformed them and done it via positive football rather than the usual tricks. His side kick now manages uddersfield i guess if he does a good job he will come back.

Maybe swap Bernardo and Foden.
Also tempting to start Delap so that Sterling could play from the right.
Given the injuries, that would be my go-to line up and formation for most of our upcoming games. I’d keep Foden slightly higher up the pitch due to his goal threat. Only change would be Gundog for Rodri, but he’s probably still isolating.

I just prefer the industry and directness of Foden.Leeds will fight for everything,so we need to defend from the front, put ourselves about, and be solid through the middle.

I've omitted Mahrez, and the returning Gundogan, for the same reason.

Is Gundogan definitely back tomorrow? I thought it was after the international break. It'll mean our bench is starting to look a little healthier.

Steffen, Mendy, Gundo, Mahrez, Foden plus two from the academy

I'm hoping that Bielsa's time with Leeds, this season, is him becoming familiarised with managing in the PL and polishing his English as preparation for a role with us if Pep doesn't extend.
I'm absolutely clueless as to the chances but, Pep will certainly have a say in the process so it must surely be a consideration in City's succession planning?

Looking how Bielsa operates via his ordinary semi in Wetherby and occasional trip to Morrisons hes certainly low maintenance.

They have changed as a team and play a different style than in the past. I believe we will need pace in midfield more than ever, especially out wide. As for defence, I think Ake will be the key to keeping tabs on Bamford. I'm not a big fan of Bamford, but could con Dias on his first run out - it also depends on which prick is holding the whistle.

Typical fucking City, thought we'd gifted the rags the league or is that team from the following season?

I have a feeling pep will be replaced by a relatively young manager whenever that may be

I wouldn't want Mendy to play this one. They play good football and can be dangerous on the counter attacks, plus they are good in possession too.

Bielsa's talent seems to be as an influencer of other coaches rather than a serial trophy winner in his own right, he has a few Argentine titles but nothing in Europe, the closest was a losing Europa League final with Bilbao. I can't see him getting the manager's job at City so would he be happy with a back seat role?

You could well be right but I think Bielsa is fresh to English football so could inject as much enthusiasm as a younger manager but with a massive amount of experience to support him in the role.
I’m really looking forward to this game as one aspect will be the tactical battle between Pep and a man who Pep admires and who’s been a big influence on him.
