Sorry if a stupid question but did Haaland give the ball to Ilkay to get a hatrick or did Ilkay demand the ball to take the pen? Either way a bloody shambles, strongest penalty taker should take it all day long it isn't a charity tribute match.

No problem with Gundogan taking the penalty. Haaland might well have missed anyway today. Like the team spirit it showed. Pep changing half the team so early against Leicester was way more risky imho.

Not a great 2nd half but in all fairness this was our 3rd PL game in less than a week. Take our chances and it would have been over at half time.

Frustrating game, and any sentimentally was not about the penalty, but around a place of birth. Putting that aside, if we would have been offered three points before the game irrespective of score line we all would have taken it. Pep just as frustrated as us, but should not be taking that out out on Gundo.

He’ll go hard on Haaland and Gundogan, but he’ll go a bit more easy on the team as a whole. He knows motivation is priority. Nothing wrong with a bollocking either.
