Exactly, you also can't say Jesus is not a miss either, Aguero wouldn't have played the full game, he might not have started because this game was always going to be a battle of pressing. Cancello is also a miss because I think this was one game too many for Mendy and we seem more solid with Cancello on the left anyway.

Sterling being on the left, Mahrez on the right is a big change on it's own, add Jesus and Aguero(perhaps second half when they were tiring) and we win that game, they weren't that solid at the back.

I don't think we defended that badly apart from Mendy, so I wouldn't say it was too soon for Dias to start, he did well. Leeds will be creating far more chances than that against other teams. Liverpool gave up 3 goals lets not forget. The one we gave up was really just a keeper error from a corner, nothing to get too excited about.

We’ve started this season the exact same way. Fell apart after conceding against Leicester, fell apart after 30 minutes today. It’s the same failings time and time again. When Liverpool need a goal they grind the opposition until they score. Despite taking control of the final 15 minutes we never looked like scoring. No one driving us on. Our one world class midfielder spent the entire second half waving his arms in the air in frustration.

This season isn’t a reset after last season’s disappointment, it’s a continuing decline. People are making excuses but the fundamentals of this team aren’t there. We used to press relentlessly, be ruthless and fight to the end. Now our late goals are usually the icing in the cake or the killer goal for a 2 goal win. I can’t remember our last late winner in the league.

No shit! Bernardo just got back from an injury, Laporte came back from Covid a week ago. Dias started his first game today, Torres his first start today. Gundogan, Aguero, Jesus, Cancelo are all still out. We're catching up for having 6 weeks less preseason than other sides, we're trying to get the squad whole again.

Why did you think we were going to massively different straight away with all that's gone on?

I mean I'm sorry but what fucking world are you living in where we'd have a total reset from last season when we had a 3 week break and started with 8 players out and 4 new signings needing to be introduced?

You thought we'd just waltz through the opening month of the season with no strikers, with 2 new defenders settling in, with at least 3 or 4 starting players out?

Yes, he runs a lot mostly because he is always out of position by a fews meters and misses crucial interception and keeps running around back to compencate.
