Leeds United (A) Post Match Thread

Stop posting a generic internet forum response and offer your assessment instead. My original post was my summation of the game/last 12 months, yours was a copy/paste of 'how to (try to) shut somebody down on the internet'...
I don’t have to assess nish mate as I'm not skriking and doing kneejerk posts like you and your "we aren't winning the league or champions league " after just three games.
You throw the towel in and be fickle and don't be shocked or try to be a smart arse calling me out after I've pulled you for such a pathetic post.

And shutting you down on the internet? Dafuq is that shit?
I'm just replying to you, if replies offend you then the internet isn't for sensitive souls like you.

The reason we dropped 2pts tonight is that Pep refuses to see that we need both a leader on the pitch and a 3rd striker. If this continues like this we will stand no chance of qualifying for next season's Champions League or Europa League. To me it looks like Pep hasn't a clue what to do.I

Yet again a great first half but a crap second half. That is now the 3rd game in a row that that has happened this season. Pep needs to get it sorted before the next game. That is what he is paid to do, if he can't get it done, then maybe it maybe time for Pep to go.

If this carries on we will be closer to relegation then being Champions. For us to be Champions we need to win the remaining 35 games. That will never happen. We seem to have lost the idea how to come a game once we have the lead.
What do you mean Pep refuses to see? You're telling me that the Khaldoon is trying to buy VVD, Mbappe and Haaland but Pep isn't having any of it?

Bit confused by people slating Walker...are you getting him mixed up with our left back cause thats where the problem is???

We need to get our own house in order first, Enough of refs, making excuses, var, liverpool ect
We've been fucking garbage for well over a year, Liverpool have been head and shoulders above anything in the league so far with or without VAR.
Time to start the realisation of us not been good enough.
It's not really about VAR, that was only an afterthought. It's about why we haven't been good enough, these players aren't shit, the coaching isn't shit, I'm not having personally. Lets not make out Laporte's injury wasn't catastrophic to our season last year, ontop of losing a figure like Kompany from the dressing room, it couldn't have come at a worse time. These kind of setbacks all seem to come at once with City too, it's uncanny and yet it's the polar opposite at Liverpool.

I was mainly talking about the fact that Klopp has pretty much had a easy time with his squad selection, it picks itself, they are able to keep their rythm because they are mostly always available. Pep must be envious of that atleast, as much as Klopp goes on about money, a manager has no control over players being unavailable to him. That's the voodoo stuff I was talking about. I'm not going to go into conspiracies with it but Pep's never had the luck Klopp's had 3 seasons in a row at City.

I'd just like to see how Liverpool would cope with a start to the season like we had, maybe they would cope but we've yet to see it.

As for City, yes all teams have their setbacks but some more than others. I'd just like to see an unhampered City able to maintain some rhythm(uninterrupted) at full strength for a bit to see if they can get back to where they were in 2017/18. I'd also like to finally see City have a solid left back in the team under Pep. Mendy is slowly getting better but who knows how much improvement we'll see, all but the most patient of fans have given up on him already.

Maybe I am biased but it feels like we haven't seen the best of this system(Pep football) with this squad yet because something always sets us back as soon as things start falling into place.

We were brilliant for the first 25 minutes, and looked the side most likely to win it in the last ten minutes. There was quite an alarming drop off in between though. Profligacy in front of goal was costly, as is so often the case with us.

Glad it’s an international break now tbh. Hopefully we’ll get a few bodies back by the time of the Arsenal game (Aguero, Jesus, Cancelo, Gundogan) and we’ll be stronger for it. Feels like it could be a difficult season though, and uncertainty over Guardiola’s future not helping. Dias looked really good though, on the bright side.
Thoughts on the board failing to sign a LB/CM/Forward, Ric ?

They didnt though they conceded 3 goals & it took a last minute pen to beat them. We were one mistake away from beating Leeds despite having both senior strikers injured.
Liverpool are better than us at the moment but let's see how well they'd do without Mane & Salah v Leeds or alot ofvteams tbh.
Thats equivalent to us without Aguero & Jesus.
It's a long season mate. They'll be times when everyone has bad luck, injuries etc. Dippers included
What’s the betting that they postpone their games because their squad is affected by Covid.. watch this space

Belting game of football. Thoroughly enjoyed it. 2 teams going toe to toe. Not arsed we didn’t win as I was entertained for 90 mins. Think some people haven’t really grasped the fact that this is essentially our pre season, so we will definitely get better as the season progresses. Tiny percentages make a big big difference at the top of the tree & not having a preseason will definitely harm us this early in the season.

Thought both teams played some fantastic stuff today. Leeds really impressed me

Lose or tie with Arsenal and we are in trouble

We're probably in trouble already mate .... title winning teams don't lose, or draw, too many games nowadays, and we are already losing ground on them!
