We have a striker like Haaland or similar we win that game and we probably would have put Leicester to bed as well. Relying on wingers to do a strikers job will only get you so far. Why we are not in for a striker regardless of Jesus and Aguero being out is mind boggling.

Full backs don’t score or create. These are meant to be integral to the way we play but we get nothing from them. Look at the likes of Liverpool, Leicester, Chelsea. Full backs providing goals and assists. Angelino scored today - not good for us though but Mendy is? if you’ve got full backs that attack and give defenders cause to panic from good balls or getting into scoring positions then it pushes the opposition full backs back and takes the pressure off the defence as well. Otherwise if you want traditional full backs they need to be solid defensively. Walker is Pretty solid but doesn’t offer much forward. Mendy is dreadful in defence, average in attack with 1 in10 crosses being perfect. Never seen him look like scoring though.

Additionally that puts more pressure on the front players to score.

Well that’s simply not true at all.
 
Very good for 25, very bad for 35 then ok for 30.
Too many unforced errors and a refereeing governing body who have basically said at the start of the season “Fuck City”
Say what you want about the performance but there’s no way we are treated fairly on the pitch.
 
Started well then Leeds came into the game, ex City player caused us problems, open end too end game, but I feel better teams would of finished us off, 2 points dropped rather than 1 point gained.

What can coaching staff do about injuries and the amount of time the players have to prepare themselves? Other teams finished their season earlier and had an earlier start to the season(more time get up to speed) and they haven't had 7 players missing. It's a bit of mess at City right now and no fault of the coaching staff IMO, just plain bad luck. We need to find out what energy drinks Liverpools backroom staff are feeding their players...

i predicted a draw before the game , because i know how well Leeds have been playing .... but we needed to go there and play better!

The points gap is already beginning to take shape , and we rapidly are losing ground ..... ground that isn't going to be easy to make up , not easy at all!
 
You either view things as the worst we'll do is top 6/7 and so there's no jeopardy so no reason to care.

Or you judge it on Khaldoon's stated aims and Pep's track record in which case you have to judge at an incredibly high standard in which you have to be hugely critical of our trajectory. It's hard to enjoy when you've already seen the best you're ever going to see.
 
Some of this has to be because we seriously overpay for average talent. Mendy + Mahrez + Rodri was £174 million. £174 million ! For that you expect either 3 world class players or to be able to buy enough additional talent to have cover within the squad as striker, DM or LB. Foden to me isn't ready to be a regular starter either. Still needs a season to bed in.
 
All 3 subs that were made brought on a player that was more defensive than the one they replaced
