Correct
The chippy next door is pretty good. Got a photo of Kalvin Philips behind the counter.
Maybe this is where the problem lies !!
Good memories of the Peacock. Got in there at opening time before watching the Gerry Creaney inspired 1 nil win. My mate Trevor said the queues for the bar would soon be horrendous so we gripped ourselves to the bar and didn’t move until just before kick off time.

That is not the wingers fault it is the set up.

Midfielders and central striker benefit from yesterday 3 CB + 1 inverted fullback system. It enables KDB and Gundo avoid to drop too deep and can stay close to the goal most of the time. The wingers suffer a bit because they don't have traditional fullbacks backup from behind and further away from goal.

In the game vs Utd and Chelsea we played a different system with fullbacks in their "traditional" position releasing the wingers to come inside. Grealish Foden and Mahrez were brilliant in those games.

It is really depending on the system.
Agreed it seems to be the system rather than the players, but the point I'm making is the lack of flying winger options we have in relation to the age of Mahrez & whether it's our intention to continue with Grealish & Foden playing wide & we bring in two central midfielders to replace Gundog & Bernardo, or do they replace Gundog & Bernardo (if they leave) & we bring in two Sterling/Sane type flying wingers?

Actually I think that the biggest hole is in the fullback position if we want to speed up. A pacy fullback will give Pep a lot more options.

Leeds away.at the end of the day is a fixture you would look out for
Proper ground, you know it will be noisy, used to love going there.was in their south (away end at the time)stand one November back in the day and I remember a Firework exploding..sent with love from the home end to our right.
Anyone remember the name of That pub....behind the away end?
Remember standing behind the goal in 77 for the FA Cup 5th round game . All seating for the 78 3rd round game unfortunately . Always my favourite away fixture in the 70`s .

Was the 77 FA Cup game in the 3rd Round ?
Went to a cup tie at the old Elland Road (am sure the capacity was c.45 thousand ?) where the Leeds fans ran onto the pitch to try and get the match abandoned. The ref took the players off and police horses came on the pitch to get the Leeds fans back on the terraces.
It was chaos outside at full time, as the City fans (as was the custom then) were kept inside the ground.
I was hitch-hiking to Stoke after the game and nearly got battered on the approach road to the M62 westwards.
A great win for City though and a superb atmosphere...
