Leeds United (A) | Post Match Thread

First of all, the Leeds manager is fucking diabolical. He’s that clueless it’s bordering on comical.

Thought Lewis was absolutely exceptional again. Intelligence and maturity way beyond his years. Got a touch of the Lahms about him in parts of his game.

Thought Grealish was MOTM though. Yes he fluffed his lines a couple of times but he didn’t let it mither him and went on to get 2 really good assists. Was a fucking pain in their arse all night and I’ll tell you something, he’s hard as nails, the amount of agg he gets is ridiculous yet he just bounces back up and cracks on.

Great 3 points and important to re-start with a win.

For all the doom mongers in the pre match thread, the ones who know more about football than “Pep 4 Prems in the last 5 Guardiola”, that said we’re gonna lose tonight cos Pep picked a shit team, that’s a great 3 points from a difficult fixture. Well done City, well done clueless Pep

Silenced the crowd early on, should of killed it after 30 minutes, standout performances for me ,from KDB, Rico and Gundogan.

Who was the female pundit who Ned shot down for their goal?
Did she use to play football?
Her obsession about us having a really difficult month coming up and that she thought Phil was at fault for their goal made me think she doesn't really like the champions

Leeds a right set of dirty bastards but I didn't expect anything else.

We went 3-0 up in 3rd gear.

That control that we once had seems to have disappeared this season. I’m not sure why.
We play a slow game and it allows mediocre teams to get a foothold, and feed off a mistake by our players or the incompetence of the ref, which was writ large tonight. The fouls he let go with a lecture were far worse than the fouls which drew a card. Tonight's game confirms he's worse than useless.

She's ex-CFC and England. I think she took the FA to some tribunal and didn't have a good word for our Steph. Don't know the details but they'll be lurking somewhere.

Eni Aluko...

She must have gone for a piss just before half time... I don't think she realised we went in 1-0 up... She must have said "city should have scored" about 3 or 4 times.

We have sacrificed a bit of control to accommodate Haaland in the side. The extra midfielder (false 9) over the past couple of years has really helped with that or to a lesser extent the constant pressing and work rate of a Gabriel Jesus.

With Haaland he is much more about playing off the shoulder, rather than linking play, dropping deep like for example a Kane. It was always going to be a question was the goal threat going to be worth sacrificing greater control of the match. We will find out in May.

According to bluemoon every commentator hates us, every pundit hates us ex players included
I get what you saying, but personally would say most pundits commentators praise us loads. But she appeared to be going out of her way to not saying anything positive or give any praise to anything we did.
