Leeds United (H) - Post-Match Thread

Some of us remember using the East Lancs when the M62 wasn't even a glint in Ernest Marples' corrupt eye.

(Bonus points if anyone knows why it was called the East Lancs.)
Used to live backing onto the East Lancs Road 50 years ago. The wife asked me to give her some driving lessons which I was not keen on doing as I knew how it would end. Anyhow I relented eventually and took her for her first driving lesson, straight onto the East Lancs Road. She never asked me again! It was a very busy road inthe 60s and 70s with wagons coming and going to Liverpool. I presume its called the East Lancs because its in East Lancashire, or was then.

Isn't it amazing no matter who we play - they suddenly have an off day or make tactical mistakes. Strange that.
If head to heads at the top win titles look at the table right now. Out of the top 10 excluding us
P9 W7 D1 L1 The draw against the scousers was a game we should have won had the referee done his fucking job and the loss was against fucking Spurs on the opening day with a hugely depleted side a loss I suspect we will be keen to avenge in the return at the Etihad. The loss against Palace was an utter abhorrent anomaly, a game which had we won would have seen us clear of the chasers with games against Newcastle and Brentford to reach the half way mark in the season then versus Leicester. Games we should win and if we do think we will be in excellent shape going into 2022.

i woke up this morning hoping all the media sport headlines would be drooling about city last night
HOW wrong can you be ?? the media are a bunch of red rags and anybody think they are not anti manchester city
then go and look at when united or liverpool stuff a good team that was 9th last season

Just back to Sunny Devon from Manchester.
What a night! - Great atmosphere last night and the team were unbelievable. Fantastic performances, and all with a few players missing, not selected etc.......

I mention the atmosphere, and I know its been said, but what would really help is decent transport after the game. Back to the Hotel after the game at 11.20 or so, after watching tram after tram go past with faces pressed against the glass. It is a shame to see people leave early (and it is absolutely their choice, people have commitments, families and lives dont they?), just wish there were solutions in place so people didnt have to leave from the 80th minute to get home, avoid traffic or catch the tram.

Listened to talkSh*te on the way home - not a massive load of credit, but Trevor Sinclair was good value, and apologies the BT commentator, sorry dont know her name gave City plenty of credit when the questioning was set up for her to blame Leeds set up/injuries

Cant wait to go back soon.
