Leeds United (H) - Post-Match Thread

Simply a stunning performance! Leeds play in a unique way in terms of man marking all over the pitch and they caused us huge problems last season. Fuck me the analysts and Pep earned their corn last night. Not a cats in hells chance that any other team could replicate what we did. Started off with Foden, KDB and Mahrez as the front three, quickly changed to Grealish, Foden, Mahrez. KDB then went left and right, Rodri pushed on more than any other game I have seen, Foden coming back to almost play alongside Laporte and Dias and so it went on. Movement, intelligence, speed of thought and more besides. The only downside was that so many people left ten minutes before the end but that's every game these days. Fantastic night.

If the team had looked like they wanted more than seven, I think more would have stayed, but we declared with 10 mins left.

Credit is due to whoever has worked in some set play routines into our corners. We’re creating really good chances off them. Foden putting it right on the money as well.

Foden takes much better corners than Kev or Gundog imo.

I had to keep counting the Leeds players to make sure there were 11 of them. They played like they had 7 on the field.

It was much easier when they attacked there was about 6 of them in our penalty area

Well despite all the pre match doom and gloom concerning the virus from some, that was a great night. Good atmosphere, cracking result and great attendance. Loved Inspiral Carpets belting out just after final whistle as well.

How to sum that up? Firstly, well played to everyone! De Bruyne my MOTM but Rodri was immense also. And some people in the pre-match thread really need to get a grip of themselves. An enjoyable watch. Er.....that's it.
