love the music, from 'The Warriors"
Is it just me or does the average age of the travelling City fans appear to be around 16-21?
A bit different to nowadays
I remember that well as I was walking back into Leeds with a City-supporting mate who lived there. I always look a transistor radio to games and had the radio out, surrounded by Leeds fans (obviously I wasn't showing any colours) when the draw was made. "Leeds United will play......Manchester City". I nearly blurted "Oh fuck we've got to come back here again" when I stopped myself, put on my best Yorkshire accent and shouted "Ay up, we've got City again lads".
The kids of today have no idea what going to an away game was like back then. Getting back to Leeds or Newcastle stations was like being in The Warriors.
Great footage, check out those horrendous flares and humungous lapels, I remember them all to well sadly. 1976 was my first City game, a few weeks after this match (presumably)...a 4-3 win over Derby at home in April 1976.
