It's different options, to have one attacking fullback and one who stays back.Cancelo was nominated as one of the best players this season, why bench him ?
Pep could go with both fullbacks attacking but I don't think he prefers that for balance in defense.
I see more of a Kolarov in him than most.Would go all out for Theo Hernandez if I was txixi , would be unbelievable in this team . Not far off Walker for pace and has cancelo’s technical ability . He’s also a big lad at 6ft which is always a bonus.
Would probably cost 60 million + but Milan have been linked with a lot of our players recently maybe a deal could be done with one of Jesus/Sterling ?
He plays for another top club. Outside of a dispute, there is no rational reason to think he'd want to leave.Why not Alphonse Davies ?

Not a superstar signing, unless pep signs him obviously. Apparently he only buys and works with superstars.To be fair every time I've seen Cucurella play this season I've been impressed. Not a superstar signing but they don't all have to be, think it's a good option. Premier League proven also.

We are the biggest club and the best team in the world. And despite all this, there are 2 problems here. First - why would Brighton already sell him? And for 30 million? He only arrived the summer before, a contract for 4 years, was selected as the player of the season. The 2nd problem - why would he want to leave? He plays regularly, was named player of the season, he is still very young and this was only his first year in England. Why would he choose to be only a rotation player after Cancelo?

Id argue Cresswell is and Ait-Nouri/Jonny on par fullbacks, in my opinion.I'd check the table on that. West Ham & Wolves in 7th/8th would both have him and have tried.

To be fair, he doesn't walk into our team either. He's a rotation option and a bloody fine one. Really not sure why anyone would want him gone but opinions, I guess.
For me, the pros far, far outweigh the cons.
