The narrow zonal defence is the problem, but it’s because we don’t have midfielders tracking runners.I thought attacking wise we were a bit better v Everton as well
And yeah it just seems too easy to bypass our midfield and suddenly the defence is in panic mode and on the backfoot
Hopefully this is the first issue that’s addressed in the window.. maybe even before West Ham
If we matched up one on one at the back, our full backs would be pulled wide and runners would have acres to run into.
It’s not one problem, it’s one problem that helps create others, for which we are ill-equipped. Couple that with an ever-changing back four and we have been very porous.
