If Haaland is out I would play Phil (sorry Phil) as the false 9 with Jack on the left and Palmer on the right.

I appreciate many will disagree with Cole on the right but I can’t have Mahrez, and in my humble opinion Palmer is a better player than Alvarez.

Foden isn’t good as the false 9 though. Surely just play the lad who’s are only other striker upfront. We had games last season where forget the false 9 line Foden played as our striker and was completely wasted chasing lost courses and battling against big centre halves. Play Foden wide and let Alzarez do the headless chicken routine. With him in our press could go back to being intense.
