Leicester City v City post match.

Wow, mucho apologies circa 63 me, hey do you remember the city v bury game in 65 I think when Harry Dowd hurt his hand and went on to score the equaliser, after a certain Colin Bell had scored for bury happy days for me, women at back of Kippax used to mind my bike for 3 pence I have happy memories of that time, and the programme shop that used to sell away programs you could use front page of those instead of a token, do yo recall that?

remember the smell of the liniment they use to rub on the players legs. me running up and down the steps of the kippax because to a 4 year old it was more fun than watching the football. remember my old fella going mad because he couldnt concentrate on the game because of me.

he died earlier this year 5 weeks before his 95 birthday, i still take the black and red college scarf he bought in 1968 to every big game, he wore that scarf in every round home and away including the 1969 final with me at his side. he`s the reason i started to support city and i`ll think about them everyday till the day i die. hopefully they show more effing shape than they showed when i traveled to bastard leicester.

i think we all must have a madness that we cant get rid of.

i remember having to cut the tokens off the home 1st team and reserve team programmes and the away programmes those days it was a struggle to get tickets for the final because the bastards in the fa only gave the two teams 16,000 each

I have the same scarf, and my dad's as well
Took it to the Cup Final in 2011

Unfortunately my day died nine months earlier.

sorry to here that,

my dad was ready he`d been in a home for 6 years he had dementia was blind and very deaf and didnt know who i was, as sad as it was it was not fair for him to carry on the way he was. i was very lucky, i always wanted to be there holding his hand when he passed away and fortunately was.

i think of him everyday and at every match.
