Leicester City v City post match.

I'm on about in the transfer window shit like that should have been sorted out in the summer.

It's not just this transfer window, it's all of them.

We will end up spending 1 billion replacing Jolean Lescott.

Worryingly, it looks like we may have to replace Kompany as well now.

Perhaps we should ask Hughes, seeing as he signed all our decent defenders.

Van Dijk

Should have bought his 2 seasons ago when we had talks with him over a £10mil move from Celtic, lol.

Classic City.

Think Ill give this forum a rest

the simple fact is we have to many players that are way past there best, and we have fuck all at the back in reserve, to many are cruising along and probably know they are out on their arse at the end of the season, just look at the barca performance compared to this one. Yes pep could have put out a different team, but he put out players that should be able to deal with a long ball and they cant, until we change that defence and get cover for Dinho we are going to see plenty of results like this, Im prepared to give the manager time, some on here aren't clearly> Its easy to say play the kids, but what happens if they get battered, they have their confidence shot to shit and the tossers that are coasting throw a bigger strop and what is a patchy season turns into a bigger cluster fuck. Lets see what happens when the deadwood is gone.

Exactly deadwood needs to be shifted. Sorry but Txixi has left the squad in this state. If he had bought properly the side wouldn't be in this mess. Buying Mangala etc. I tell you what if Pep doesn't turn this around Txixi will be out of this club as the Sheikh will see through all this bullshit.

Two fullbacks, one CB and a goalkeeper. Not a midfielder or striker. Good teams are always built on good defences unless you have Messi or similar who can win a game on their own.

I would have signed him, but tbf, every club will have seen him play & nobody took the gamble, so it's not just us.

What I saw was a blossoming partnership, Denayer being a perfect foil for Van Dijk, looking after his fuck ups if he attacked the ball & missed.

Just seemed natural that there's you 3rd & 4th or 4th & 5th defensive pairing, as one of our own kids was playing next to him.

We now have Kolarov instead.

When I saw Sterling/Nolito on the bench and Silva/Navas starting I knew we will struggle with scoring. Silva and Navas offers nearly zero goal threat recently, they hardly make a shot anymore. Even if they find space to shoot, they just try to pass it in the net in a fully packed box...

But this a small problem compared to the big one that we make it easy for opponents. Everyone got more clever since last season vs Leicester, they give credit to them this season, they change the way they play against them, they dont let that easy goals to be scored by them that they had many last season. Except us, we still made it easy for them, we knew what Mahrez/Vardy can do, what they need to perform well and we gave them what they needed lot of space on the edge of the defence line.

Why is that teams coming to Etihad and park the bus and counter? They dont want to make it easy for us. They are happy us having 75% of the ball passing sideaway at the back but when it matters they dont want us to have it easy, find space easily between the big holes in midfield and defence as they know KDB, Silva, Kun can exploit that easily.
So they park the bus, pack the midfield, blocking crosses etc.

They dont want for us to be easy.

What we do when up against Hazard/Costa/Pedro or Mahrez/Vardy. They are allowed to score their easiest goals...

Pep has a big staff why the fuck they dont analyze this shit happening for a long time now.

Arsenal, Liverpool games coming up in less than 20 days, they have the quality to hurt Pep's system. Even without if we make it easy for them. If we do then absolutely...
Lose both games and we will be in an awful situation for January.

wrong we have a manager who was lucky enough to have once managed the best players on the planet who when faced with a genuine challenge has so far not looked up to it.
Must admit, since the final whistle yesterday, I've found myself looking back fondly on a time we were managed by a certain suave, scarf wearing Italian.

It's not him I miss per se, but the defensive stability, the foundation our success at that point in time was built on and we simply haven't had it since he left, Swiss cheeses have less holes.

Thinking about that 4th goal pisses me off time and time again because Stones has had it drummed into him to do stupid shit like that. Row Z was the best option every single day of the week, but fuck around with it at the back, that's the remit. Lunacy.

Sort that fucking defence out Pep, should be top of the to do list by a country mile. Everything else will follow.

That's what you get for backing the players over the manager all the time.
