Leicester (H) | PL | Post-Match Thread

Hope I’m not driving down to Wembley to watch Phillips Palmer and Gomez start
Harsh on Palmer that. Can't expect the lad to be KdB - he's a wide player to start with.
Phillips won't start, he's just too static for us - no idea why btw. I've said elsewhere, body language just says "I'm not making it here" - perhaps stems from Pep's calling him out after the WC

“Incredibly lucky.” Incredibly.
That is a simply laughable judgement, and displays the innate hostility to us on the part of people who are supposed to be objective that immediately surfaces on the slightest pretext.
Did Redknapp comment that Arsenal were “incredibly lucky” to walk away from Anfield with a point? Just asking.
Or when they beat Bournemouth in the 97th minute of 96

Don't want to single out individuals but that second half was very poor. Massive gulf in class between the first 15 and the replacements. Some of these need to find another home.
Three of the five subs rarely play, and were replacing players widely considered some of the (if not the) best in the world in their position.

There’s going to be a disruption to our rhythm and chemistry, especially when you bring on two others generally at the same time (nearly half the team changed in a short time). It’s unavoidable if you want to rest/protect players.

We’re never going to have the two best players in the world for every position, even if we had infinite money. It’s not possible for many reasons, but the biggest is that they would never come to us to be rotated.

Got the game won. Made loads of changes. Maybe one change too many. Main thing is the three points and Haaland, Stones, Rodri, Grealish, and De Bruyne all getting rest.

Ederson 8; Walker 6; Stones 8; Dias 7; Laporte 6; Rodri 7; De Bruyne 8; Bernardo 7; Mahrez 7; Haaland 9; Grealish 7

Alvarez 6; Akanji 6; Phillips 4; Gomez 5; Palmer 7

Of the 5 champions league quarter finalists to play so far today, we're the only ones to win. The sixth, Benfica, are at 0-0 with 9 minutes left.
Bayern 1-1 Hoffenheim
Bologna 1-1 AC Milan
Napoli 0-0 Verona
Chelsea 1-2 Brighton
City 3-1 Leicester
Chaves 0-0 Benfica (live)
Benfica also lost 1-0.

Maybe we expect too much sometimes from our boys.

I'm happy he made the subs but it was getting a bit 50p arse late on.

Palmer 7. He was clueless

Not forgetting Gundo & Ake, plenty of rest for the boys

Sky Sports' Jamie Redknapp:

"It could have backfired for Manchester City, taking Rodri, De Bruyne and Haaland off. It goes to 3-1 and Maddison and Iheanacho had great chances. Man City had no answers. They got away with it. Of course you have to make changes and protect players but they were incredibly lucky today."

We got incredibly lucky apparently
Redtwatt junior no wonder Louise fucked him off he is a cockwomble of the highest order.
