I m aware that this is a city forum and my opinion will be not very popular on here , dont get me wrong I m not saying you are wrong here but: over the last few games you were supposed to cruise and trash everybody on the road according to most people me included but things have been harder than most of us would thought:
  • a win against Crystal palace that took a late counter attack goal to deny them coming back into the game after they deciding to actually start playing with 10 min left to go.
  • a narrow win against tottenham with Ederson denying Lucas and Son on three occasions.
  • A nil nil first half against a shocking united side , with yet another DDG mistake then Lingard missing the unmissable.
  • A very tense narrow 1 nil win against burnely , with a goal coming deep into the second half.
Yet we were all thinking it will be a walk in the park, blitzing teams right left and center but we saw 2 narrow tense wins with both a one goal margin and a nervous city team seen against Utd first half, Burnley first half and Crystal palace last 10 min.

The thing is your team is on a 12 games winning run and it s always hard on the players nerves to keep going no matter how good you are.

Still , You are going to win the last two games , pool were so lucky in this title race and in all fairness it will be hard ending the season empty handed .. Again.

Fair play to you guys.

Right.

Can you now post about all the dives, cheating, lucky goals, offsides, bad officiating decisions, opposition player mistakes that have got Liverpool to where they are now. Go through them all. I’ll be back in an hour. That should give you enough time to write and post them all.

Really. How the f*** you’ve got the nerve and the tenacity to come on BM and criticize City’s performances is beyond me and everyone on here.

Please, f*** off back to RAWK and discuss Fabinho’s dive that led to the goal.

Liverpool’s Fabinho escapes FA ban for diving vs Newcastle as regulations do not cover simulation outside penalty area

Despite tumbling to the ground with no contact from Newcastle’s Matt Ritchie, and Jurgen Klopp’s side scoring as a result, there is nothing disciplinary chiefs can do to punish the Brazilian

We need to play our normal game dominate the ball , play very quick aggressive and precise football then the chances will come , we also need our quickest defenders to counter Vardy , because we struggled against Spuds , if Son had his shooting boots on we could have easily lost that game.
Leicester won't have enough of the ball for Vardy to be a constant threat and Pep won't waste a player following him around - not his style. In my view, it'll be a case of us quickly getting into formation to try and cut out the through ball when Leicester's 35 per cent possession results in an attack. Do Pep's team talks really include 'I want you to pick up Vardy when he starts his run' ?

We have the most focused manager and players we have ever had , our 2012 ,2014 teams were excellent , but this group of players will not take anything lying down , they are winners every last one of them fighting for the same cause , there are no sulkers or players giving less than 100% (just looked back at this post and its very RAWK like , apologies)

Nah. No poetry ;-)

Mahrez will probably in Fernandinho's DM role knowing Pep, or maybe Left Back

( don't even go there with the "wish he was left back in the dressing room" type jokes, they're not big, and certainly not clever) :-)
To play for Pep, apart from the skill factor, you need tenacity, determination, persistence and a metronomic quality. Mahrez has the skill and elegance, but we've yet to see him display the other qualities we need.

The good thing is we we have won 8 out of 9 times, when we have had 6 days or more to prepare for a game.
Think the other game was a draw, Wolves I think. All home games won with time to prepare. Augers well for Monday night and Brighton.

My only worry is free kicks on the edge of the box - they'll be running right to left, left to right across the edge of the box looking for a dangling leg to throw themselves at.

One thing’s for sure... we don’t have the authorities on our side... unlike others

Ha, that’s one way of looking at it. The more sensible view is that we showed great professionalism to take 12 points from 4 difficult games in a tense title run-in.

All but one of those games were tricky away ties. The home game against Spur we were knackered 2nd half after playing every 3 days for months.

This is a home game and our 8 players have had 8 days rest, can you spot the difference....

Who said we're supposed to cruise and trash everybody ? Just doesn't happen at this stage of the season. We've been without our best player for seven months, David Silva hasn't been able to train properly as he's been caring for his baby all season, we've had no proper time served left back virtually all season, Sergio has had injuries, Fernandinho, Kompany and Stones have had injuries. All in all, it's amazing that we're in the position we are - nearly 200 points over two seasons. The narrow wins you mention serve to emphasise that we're not a team that just wins by spectacular scores, we can dog it out as well. On top of all that, we're the second youngest team in the Prem - only Wolves have a younger average age. This young team can only improve.

No idea where you get the idea that we would cruise those last 4 games. According to most things i read we were in for some tough games and would do well to win them all.

For quite a few games now, we've had cagey first halves - jabbing and moving like a boxer and wasting no energy. Second halves we've thrown the heavy punches. Leicester will be wondering how we'll start the game - will we go for the throat from kick off or continue with the recent game plan ? Having had a week's rest, I hope we come out all guns blazing.

If the fans of virtually every other club had the chance to choose any Manager to prepare there team for two of their biggest games of the season, they would pick Pep....We are in good hands.
