We’ve got 6 days in Germany booked. Had it booked for ages before the CL draw handily dealt us Leipzig. 3 nights in Hamburg and 3 in Hannover for our annual tour of the Xmas markets. Think they’re both still open for now but not sure we’ll take the risk and going to decide this weekend what to do. We’re looking at Tenerife.

It's sounding more like Germany is going to put more restrictions in place next week, if the beer halls and Christmas Markets tourists sights Museums ect are closed it won't be much fun

All Central Europe looks iffy for next few weeks. Decided to go to Spain for a couple of days instead flying out of Luton (after Watford away) going to watch Elche v Cadiz on Sunday 5th (maybe see Negredo) and FC Cartagena v Tenerife on Monday 6th.

Bars and restaurants still open with 2G, as are Xmas markets.

We had one night in Leipzig and then three nights in Berlin booked, swapped it for a week in Tenerife.

I was buzzing to be over in Germany at Xmas time, but a week in the sunshine will soften the blow.

We've changed our flights, and now we are going to Tenerife for 3 days to hopefully watch it in the Sun

Until now the numbers in Hamburg and Hannover are much lower than in the East and South and Xmas markets started normally - just with special rules (often only jabbed or recovered, sometimes with an additional fast test - always with mask). I would check the numbers again on the weekend. If there is not big increases that probably will not change in the next two weeks.

Hospitals in the West and North are still taking patients from e.g. the Netherlands - whereas in the South and East surgeries get postponed and the hospitals are already full.

And if you go to Germany - have an FFP2 mask with you as in some areas you need them and not just a medical mask or even a cloth mask. With the FFP2 you cannot go wrong.
