Italian players that are idolised usually stay in their own country. It seems like a great offer but it generally doesn't matter.

My bigger concern, and I've been banging this drum for a while now, is the amount of centre backs we are either showing interest in or have bought. We haven't quite got this part of the football pitch down, have we?

It's throwing good money after bad. Just wish we would find the centre back we want and be done with it.

With this being the first transfer window of the Pep era I can see a lot of agents playing the my client wants to go to Manchester and play for Pep card just to get their client and ultimately themselves more money. I want Bonucci in a City kit just as bad as the next fan but there is so much going on at Juventus this summer that it will be hard to see them letting Bonucci walk away and sell Pogba in the same window. When Pep was at Barcelona and Bayern it was easy to see why players wanted to go there, they are two of the four highest profile clubs in the world. It might take a season or so to get into player's head's that Manchester City is the best club in the world from the owners to the manager to the fans, nowhere else compares and it is the place players want to be and they go to their club and agent and say get me to Manchester City.

If they have that mentality Pep would never buy them anyway imo, he would simply not care no matter who their name is.

Maybe Ota could be the CB you speak of mate, he's had a year to adapt and Peps coaching could improve him. He was excellent some games last season and his biggest flaw imo is his positioning and in the pep book pep trained Javi Martinez to improve his positioning to peps style

agreed but he also dived in way too much as well - hopefully pep can knock that out of him as well

Can you 'knock' that out of someone? I like him but I wonder what our policy on CB's was last summer and even the summer before. If, as were led to believe, Sterling and Kev were Pep signings, would Ota be one?

i think you can train that out of someone, yes

Well it sounds like he's at least intrigued by coming to us as his agent his organised more talks according to di Marzio? Sounds like he would have to ask to leave though
