They did back then just to point out though Cook was sacked/asked to leave on September 2011If Txiki delivered a summer like Cook's 2012 then people on here would have aneurisms.

I'm not saying its 100% true. We speculate on here, thats all we can do. It part of his job to convince the player to take our offer and leave the other club. We have a lot to offer, its part Txiki's job to help seal the deal and convince the player to join us. Seeing that we could not convince a player from Bilbao to join us is worrisome. I understand they can stay if they want, I'd just like to see us more successful is locking up targets
Doesnt sound close?

It's BILD, they have less credibility than the Sun.
Sounds to me like Schalke trying to dictate terms and not burn bridges with their fanbase.

Bild is definitely not less credible then the sun.
So you think that BILD, one of Germany's biggest sports outlets has invented quotes from Schalke's sporting director?I disagree and my German in-laws disagree. It's a silly argument anyway, the point is that BILD are untrustworthy in the extreme and this dubious story, which contradicts weeks of links between City-Sane, is another example of why.

This is my point to an extent. We need someone who can make up for what we don't have to offer thereIf a player changes his mind there is nothing we can do about it, i know that if I were playing for City in the Europa league earning £50k a week and someone like Dortmund came in and offered me CL football and double my wages I still wouldn't move.
Some players move for money, some move for ambition and the rest move because United was always their boyhood club and they are happy to play there for nothing just to be part of their history:)
So you think that BILD, one of Germany's biggest sports outlets has invented quotes from Schalke's sporting director?
Because that's the only way BILD could be unreliable with this story, in which they simply quote Christian Heidel.
You could call the quotes posturing, and that would be a fair stance.
But to say disregard because it's in BILD is ridiculous.

And don't forget they were the ones who tricked kev into saying he was staying at Wolfsburg on that crazy night1. BILD isn't a sports outlet, it's a broadsheet newspaper modeled off the Sun, complete with page 3 girls.
2. BILD is fiercely nationalistic and often spins articles to make the situation seem favourable to a player staying in Germany.
3. The quotes could be false, out of context or old, but that's irrelevant. BILD has taken some quotes and made a story that is contradictory to what is being reported elsewhere. That is about as dubious a scenario as I can imagine.

I stand correctedNo they weren't, that was SportsBild which is a completely seperate publication.
