Glad he had a go back, their number 2 had had a couple of digs, one on Laporte that looked nasty.
Since you've never met me or know what i have or Haven't done, yeah I'd say it's a dig.Not having a dig, but that's because you've never played.
All footballers will look to leave one on an opponent.
Back to Sané anyway. Thought he was excellent today. He and David Silva work so well together.

But unlike Sane, I won't retaliate here either :p
The Sane-Silva pair on the left is such a joy to watch and must be terrible to see as an opponent. I think today helped dispel the notion that Mendy and Sane can’t be on the fied together. Not having a dig, but that's because you've never played.

A poorly framed version of some of my position.I know you're American. You think tv gives you a better perspective than live in the ground and your constant referral to statistics I can tell you've not played football to any real level.
As I said it's not a dig, but Sané leaving on one his direct rival is spot on for me.
A poorly framed version of some of my position.
I am American. Yes! Albeit not by birth
I do believe game tape affords anyone a better opportunity for analysis than going to the game.
Everyone knows this except for the average fan it seems. But let's keep the charade up.
As for stats, I noticed today Guardiola justified our deserving of our 5-0 win by highlighting how we lead Europe in shots taken and chances created. You know the very same stats folks use to roll there eyes about, 3-4 years ago when I quoted. Unlike the above, not everyone knows the value of stats. But the smartest ones are adapting. (They always do.)
As for Sane's action, such acts are selfish and are generally detrimental to the team's cause. They should not be celebrated or excused.
Let's be real here, the burnley defender made a cynical defensive move to save his team (i.e he blocked Sane after getting beat) Sane on the other hand simply lashed out to satisfy a childish personal revenge urge.
I can respect what the Burnley player did for his team. But what Sane did was for himself. And I simply cannot respect. No 'I' in team and all that. And it wasn't an emotional reaction, that I can forgive. It was a planned cynical revenge act that could have gotten a red. I'd have given him a red personally.
Acts like these are all relics of the past. Tough guy acts that can hurt the team, are simply team hurting acts. Nothing more. He could have gotten a red there. And now what? We don't have him against Tothenham? Just stupid in my opinion. Glad he got away it.
And just for the record, no I never played professionally. But I captained an NCAA team in college for 2 years and played indoors for 3 years after that. And was an assistant coach for 2 years before life took me a different direction. But that's neither here nor there.
Character exists at every level in every work of life, you need not have played at any level to grasp this. There are people who are child like and easy to manipulate ( Sane looking like one of those by the way) and there are those who were unflappable.
I generally like the latter.
