Fine. Just don't complain when the likes of Danny Murphy give out the advice that other players should let us know were in a game, and get physical with us. Next time someone leaves one on KDB, and we lose him for eight weeks, then that's no problem. Just part and parcel of the modern game.

I get ya, but let's be honest here refs aren't going to protect our players and I'd rather see more of what Leroy did than us rolling around and complaining. At least players will thinks twice before starting that, whereas until yesterday our players "could be got at" according to some dinosaurs.

I think you need to watch it again. It is a dirty trick, but it's never a sending off, not in a million years.
Unless it’s Puncheon on KDB last season when the forum was up in arms about players never getting sent off against City. I don’t see how anyone can think one of those was red and one wasn’t. I don’t care which way people see it, both yellows or both red, but they should be viewed the same. To be fair, you might well have thought Puncheon should have only got yellow, which is fair enough. For what it’s worth, on an anonymous Internet forum, I thought Puncheon and Sane should both have been red.

Would you have said that had the roles been reversed ? I bet you and many more would have been baying for blood from the ref.

It's not a red, it wasn't dangerous and it was not out of control. It was a yellow. It was no worse, in fact not as bad a Lawton's foul on him when Sané left him for dead.

Listen, in an ideal world, where everything is perfect, he doesn't do it, but I understand why he did it and don't particularly have an issue with it. If David Silva or Fernandinho does it, no one cares. Because some perceive Sané to have an 'attitude' it's big news.

Kompany should have seen red, a ridiculous tackle & decision.
He should have brought the ball fiwn away from Lennon and gone back to Ederson. He was all over the place.

Puncheon was lunging and out of control, Sané was not. It's a ridiculous comparison.

If you say so. Imagine that Lowton had done it to Sane then. Would you be on here telling all those clamouring for red that they were bang out of order it was only ever a yellow? I suspect you wouldn’t......

That is an absolutely woeful comparison lad.

Puncheon was flying in.

Sane was in complete control of himself and knew exactly what he was doing. It was a yellow and a very cynical one, but nothing more.

Whilst agreeing it was stupid and petulant (you have to admire the sneer) I don't see how it could be a straight red wasn't reckless, violent, preventing a clear goal scoring opportunity or likely to injure so under what rule could he have been dismissed?

At the time I didn`t think Kompanys tackle was a yellow,so imagine my surprise when I saw it back on the TV.He was very lucky. However Sane was stupid, never intending to go for the ball, but the man.He was very fortunate and some refs could have sent him off.It was a cynical tackle.
