Hughes is obssessed with this guy and I really can't fathom for the life of me he is no where near and most probably never will be 1st choice for England and they wanna make us break the bank for him. He's an above average prem defender who is vastly over priced. Why can't someone just pull the plug on this once and for all and look for someone better with more value for money

Honestly, I would be happy that Moyes is getting his chance with a proper budget and would hope that he would win all but two matches per season. It would force Everton to realize that he is the only thing keeping them from a freefall and would speed up takeover issues, IMO.

He may well go if UTD came calling but if thats the case in the extremely unlikely event that they came for Hughes...do you not think he would go?

.....as in leaving the richest club int the world to work for the most indebted one? With CITY he can only take us upwards from a trophy perspective, whereas with the SCUM the only way is down

Ive said all along that Lescott has crossed the line for me but thats just my opinion , part of me want s Moyes to keep digging his heels in. This wouldnt be as bad for us if Lescott had handed the request in weeks ago....so it could work both ways the fact that he took so long might be the reason why we kept hold of him...therefore its his own fault!!!!

The simple economics of this deal will ensure that an unhappy £20m asset will be sold, just like the rags sold their £80m unhappy asset!

Ronaldo only went a year after the intial bid.....they way your spending money i think you will have moved on from Lescott in a year. Ronaldo is world class , Lescott is a good solid centre half but not world class.

Agree not many of us, but the reality is that contracts in football mean fuck all and nothing!

You can not be made to work for someone you dont want too, thats the law, contract or no contract.

Of course by breaking a contract, you will suffer the penalties, financial or otherwise, but to think that your club will miss out on a £20m asset just because of a piece of paper is just plain ridiculous!

He fit's with our project now, and thats the point.

We are very very fortunate to be able to plan for the next 10 years and include players and amounts spent that we are effectivly abe to write off so to speak as and when we reach the next stage.

Thats not being arrogant, thats just our owners seeing this as a business and wanting to be the best.

If they had bought Everton mate, i can gaureentee, you would be doing exactly the same, although i feel that some of your fellow fans would suddenly see no problems with that?
