Quick one before i start work , i think if you do get him (which id be suprised but hope you do) ...be prepared to pay through the nose! Im losing respect for Kenweight but one thing he seems to be good at is getting a good price when it comes to selling players.... £27 million for Rooney 4 years ago ....how much would that be in todays Premiership money , as good as he is now , it was just potential then. A.Johnson just short of £11 million ...he's worth £ 6million at best.
Hand on heart i want us to sell but i hope we take you for every penny..for no other reason than you can afford it.
Lets face it you need him so i dont understand some of you saying only at X amount!!!
I think we can all agree we will be glad when its sorted one way or another

Most over-rated player in the league. Still haven't seen anything that sets him apart.

Was embarrasing how the commentator against Holland the other night wouldn't shut the fuck up going on about how good his shot was.

IT WAS WIDE FROM 20 METRES. I CAN DO THESE KIND OF SHOTS ALL DAY LONG.

completley wrong, rooney is one of the best players i have ever seen, the best in the prem by a mile.
the buy has got everything and was a steal 27m, i would have him over any other player, inc messi etc.

All he does (IMO) is take long shots, which are usually wide. Infact, 9/10 are very wide.

If he loses the ball, he'll chase it, 9/10 times giving away a freekick.

He's a battler and yes, similar to Tevez & Bellamy im some ways id say, but I wouldn't ever, ever want to see him at City. I dont think he's good enough and having paid what they did for him, for me, I think they (scum) feel them have to play him and make him a success.

Others will disagree, but his scoring record speaks for itself. Not good enough.

PS - I know he plays/ played alot on the wing, but so did Robinho and look at his goals last season.

I agree he is a very good player, but not in the same league as Messi...

I think you have your three lions spectacles on there mate...haha

Cant agree mate :)

I own up to the fact that the fake one was a great player (still a grade A prick though). But I dont think Rooney is anything better than average.

I agree with everything de niro says about this and anything else (especially about Lescott.)

Messi is streets ahead in terms of talent and temperament. Im not denying that rooney is a good player but I have never seen anything that marks him out as this absolute world beater.

Rooney is shite, scores all his goals in a small number of games, can't play as a striker as he doesn't have the positional discipline to stay there (called tracking back for the team by some). Ferguson obviously doesn't trust him to play up front as he's always used out wide or in a deeper role, utter utter shite!

I'm sorry but you can't use Ronaldo as a yard stick to measure any other players performance off. he is a complete one off. No-one scores that many goals from the wing apart from him.

Also, Ronaldo was a specialist winger. Rooney isn't but has been played there to accomodate other players. His preferred position is in the hole and if he is played there this year I predict he will be in the top 3 scorers in the Prem.

He has also scored 24 in 52 at international level. Pretty prolific in his preferred position.
