To be honest Matty, I think a Prem Squad needs 4 top end centre halfs for depth. If we get Lescott, we would have Toure, Lescott, Ned and Kompany.

As much as I agree with you, Dunne is better than a makeweight in a deal for Lescott, the bigger picture leans me towards thinking this would be a good deal for us.

Exactly!

As it stands if we pay straight cash for Lescott we would have 5th and 6th choice centre backs earning over £100k pw between them, this would be a farce!

Plus TBH is worth f*ck all.

Dunne has been a good defender for the club but Lescott coming in would make him more surplus to requirements. Lescott and Toure would be first choice, with Ned and Kompany as back up and amongst them can be cover for left back.

If we strengthen our defence in the next two weeks it doesn't have to be at the expense of any more players IMO.

Injuries and suspensions will ensure we need as many players as is possible to be prepared to play a role and when they get their opportunity make it hard for the person they replace to get back in.

You only have to look at Manure to see that.

evertons defending on saturday was nothing short of woeful and ''£20 million rated'' lescott was one of the main culprits fair enough he didnt want to be there but at 20 million i dont want him here either as i honestly believe that hes no better than what weve already got (dunne aside) on saturday richards looked like he was getting back to his old self and nedum is mr dependable, let everton keep him over-rated over-valued anyway, but does anybody else think that to ru moyes face in it we should take jo thus leaving the everton paupers short on attackers!

We are still in three competition's. Hughes has got to give a good showing this year, so needs the best side avaliable i every game this year. And after Dunne showed us his old self on saturday, i think any suggestion he leaves just yet is stupidly short sighted

ssn-natalie sawyer just said 3 players, i can only assume its garrido or possibly richards, he was linked earlier on in the summer

no need to sell dunne....looked like he,s back to his solid, reliable self on saturday.....simply buy upson.........

Morning Lads

I ve been on here lately for a decent debate and bit of banter but it is like pissing against the wind sometimes which is fair enough i shouldnt expect anything else on a rival teams forum

anyway , ive slowly come round to Lescott leaving is inevitable , as ive discussed earlier i dont think either teami is innocent in this i.e us putting on website and yourselves releasing info to the media wages etc. But we all defend our own as it should be.

I dont rate Dunne ( but watched you on saturday and thought he did well) but at the moment we need numbers and cash so id take £18 million and Dunne...lets face it if you lot think TBH is shit then Moyes will KNOW he is!

If was you i wouldnt care how much city paid...just enjoy the ride!
