To be honest some of my mates who are Evertonians don't mind losing Lescott. They don't rate him as highly as Jagielka and Yobo.
They felt Jagielka carried Lescott last season.

lets hope it gets tied up soon.. Toure will be able to carry him

Ill tell you what, if Moyes loses his next game, theres going to be a f^#@ uproar from Everton fans. It's one thing to be strong and resilient, its another to be strategic both in the short and long term .

Would love to see it, because I think it would force his hand a bit but they're playing Burnley.

European match first!

And dont think the opposition are pushovers think they thrashed someone in an earlier round!

I presume Moyes will be ending his interest in Taylor, he wouldn't want to be seen as a hypocrite.

CHRIS Hughton is ready to add to David Moyes’ woes by fighting tooth and nail to hang on to in-demand Newcastle defender Steven Taylor.

Everton boss Moyes is ready to swoop for £8m-rated Taylor, 23, if he is forced to admit defeat in his battle to stop Joleon Lescott’s £22m move to Manchester City.

Newcastle, who sold midfielder Damien Duff to Fulham yesterday for £3.25m, have already turned down a £4m bid from the Goodison Park outfit for Taylor.

Ahead of Sheffield Wednesday’s visit to St James’s Park tonight, Hughton said: “Steven’s very much still Newcastle’s player. He’s desperate to get on and do well for the team.”

This is totally different. Moyes has quite obviously phoned Chris Hughton up and invited him to a sauna where the deal can be discussed in the proper manner. :-D

Think that was Aberdeen in the last round and they are p!sh so wouldn't read anything into that but if they lose this then don't get a result at the weekend then the pressure is on. TBH nae luck Moyes for being a twat he's wanted to sign players but has no money...answer sell a player to get 3 poss 4 in to strengthen the squad but he wanted to play the big man, hope they get pumped, huge smile on my face when on saw their result on Saturday night.

This is taking way too long!:-)

Been checking the news thrice a day for 3 weeks now to see if we get the final piece to this years puzzle (IMO).... Come on Moyes, stop screwing around!:-)

Excellent news, I have said all along I dont want Everton getting any decent players as part of this deal and Dunne falls into that category (as does Petrov) .

Very Happy for Ben Haim, Benjani or Jo to be included as part of the deal as long as they are leaving permanently.

Even if we get Lescott, Toure misses a month or so with the african nations cup, Nedum is injury prone and Kompany is needed as cover in midfield as well, so we will need anther central defender for cover as the season goes on.

If we let Dunne go we would have to sign another central defender for cover as Ben Haim is definately not up to the required standard for a top 6 side.

SSN just announced that Lescott has trained today but trained away from the rest of the first team, basically what everyone already knew but I think that this will get the ball rolling in the press. A deal isn't too far away now me thinks.
