SSN just announced that Lescott has trained today but trained away from the rest of the first team, basically what everyone already knew but I think that this will get the ball rolling in the press. A deal isn't too far away now me thinks.

Yep - just spotted that. This essentially means that Moyes feels his presence is proving disruptive and of detriment to the spirit in the squad. All looks good for a transfer sooner rather than later I'd say.

Reports now seem to be focussed on which players will be included in the deal, rather than whether or not the deal is going ahead. A definite change in emphasis which bodes well for us.

Moyes really is a ******* idiot they way he has handled this.

Done Everton and him loads of good, they cant play Lescott now and are going to get no more money for him.

A decent manager would have taken the pile of cash and used it to improve the team - 3 weeks ago, without all the damage to his and the clubs image, team moral etc.

How do you think Moyes will explain the deal to the press if it goes through? No doubt he is going to be grilled about the fact that he said Lescott would not be sold, doesn't need to sell him and if his position is being undermined etc.

He will blame it on the player and us but pathetic excuses will not do him any good, he staked his reputation on being the hard man and making Lescott stay.

Lost all credibility with his squad, press and other clubs over the way he has handled this. No one will believe a word he says when it comes to transfers if it happens.

I think he'll use the Arsenal result as an excuse - blame it on the Lescott situation (thus absolving himself of the blame), and will claim that although he didn't want to sell him, he did what was best for the club as it was in danger of derailing their season, blah blah blah.

He'll cushion it by bringing some new players in to get the fans on side, and he'll come out of it all smelling of roses having made a stand against the big bad wolf - he'll be fine

I think Moyes played it well until he had the outburst a few days ago. After that, coupled with the Arsenal result, we've lost a bit of ground. At the end of the day, I think we all just want this over with. I know Everton supporters are losing the will to live over this. Plus everyone really hates Lescott now, and I can't see that changing.

Now that will £22m please. :)
