I think he'll use the Arsenal result as an excuse - blame it on the Lescott situation (thus absolving himself of the blame), and will claim that although he didn't want to sell him, he did what was best for the club as it was in danger of derailing their season, blah blah blah.
He'll cushion it by bringing some new players in to get the fans on side, and he'll come out of it all smelling of roses having made a stand against the big bad wolf - he'll be fine

And yet Phil Chuckle trains with them daily!Optimus Prime said:Mike 1990 said:SSN just announced that Lescott has trained today but trained away from the rest of the first team, basically what everyone already knew but I think that this will get the ball rolling in the press. A deal isn't too far away now me thinks.
Yep - just spotted that. This essentially means that Moyes feels his presence is proving disruptive and of detriment to the spirit in the squad. All looks good for a transfer sooner rather than later I'd say.
Reports now seem to be focussed on which players will be included in the deal, rather than whether or not the deal is going ahead. A definite change in emphasis which bodes well for us.
