i play for a football team (remain unnamed) that has a city scout working with the team, coach and all, on monday evening my dad spoke to him about lescott and terry and adebayor and he told my dad that terry was 50-50 but insiders thought he was using city to get a pay rise, adebayor was 70-30 and lescott was done, not sure what to make of this but thought you may want to know

Well I hear that Lescott is very keen on coming.

Go on.....

It's nothing new but the fella who told me that Lescott was shown around City five or so weeks ago also made it clear that Lescott is very keen to come.

Was that the guy who said terry would possibly hand in a transfer request last week or was that the guy who this week said Terry was 50/50 or was it another guy?

Interesting! I hope he does join to be honest, would be a great signing. My Everton mates say he's never going to leave, I hope we prove them wrong.

don't know if its been posted but on sky's transfer clockwatch:

10.25 Everton remain confident of landing Sheffield United defender Kyle Naughton, who is also wanted by Tottenham Hotspur.

Might be a replacement for Lescott?

No, Naughton is a right back mate

Yeah because jagielka is out till november, it will be cover for lescott and yobo, face it your not gettin lescott. Moyes and bill kenwright come out last night saying he isnt for sale. so close this thread, plus lescott even come into training sayinhe doesnt want to leave, have a good day :)[/quote

If we do a "Don Corleone"...

Leave it to me....... lol

It seems that signing top defenders is a much more difficult task than signing top strikers.

Fingers crossed on JT and Lescott but it looks like city will have to pull out all the stops to have a chance of landing either (or both) of these two.
