Toffee Blue, no hard fillings, I mean, feelings, and sorry to gang up on you but chew on this... (I like a pun, Ido).

Reasons for a player like Lescott to join City:

1) No European football in a World Cup year. - True, this can be construed as a negative if you want but, for the purposes of this side of the debate, let's accept that there are some positives to it (i.e. being fresh for the qualifiers and the biggest tournament in the world.
2) A chance to make history. - This is not to be scoffed at. I doubt very much if even the most passionate anti-City person does not accept that City now have an above average chance of (perhaps, eventually) becoming a dominant force in football. Everton have a chance too - a below average one.
3) Opportunity to play with world class players in a UEFA top ten ranked stadium.
4) The adulation of the most loyal fans anywhere. - I'm not saying that toffee fans aren't as passionate as any others. I'm saying that (for better or for worse) City fans have over the years been able to prove their unwavering and unstinting loyalty. It is indisputable. At the very least, he'd be now worse of under the admiring eye of the City faithful than he is now.
5) Double yer wages. - Crass? Yup. Vulgar? Yup. Unfair? Hell, yup! But he's a footballer not a clergyman. Why shouldn't he feather his nest?

I have no particular axe to grind with Everton. In fact, if they were taken over by that supposed Dubai group, I'd love it (if only because I live in Ireland and there'd be twice as many bitter, red, glory-hunters moping over their pints down the local) but I can't seriously keep a straight face when you say that the only reason to join City (from Everton, in particular) is money.

very true and politely said if you dont mind me saying

No, I don't mind you saying so, at all, Mr. Salford, sir. I have a very fragile ego and need all the positive attention that I can get. :)

Manchester, England's second city. It's every hope and prayer reside heavily upon the shoulders of our players.

There's no pressure on Everton. No one gives a flying fuck :)

london, birmingham, manchester,

That's by population. Everyone knows that Birmingham is a shit hole, and if London got bombed - Manchester would become new capital ;-)

LOL...that is all

Just a little note to the Everton fans, please remember this is a City forum, most of us don't mind debate, but please bear in mind that you will read things that to you may sound outlandish, and I dare say on your own forums the same could be true, City fans are every bit as passionate about their club as I am sure you are about yours

Sorry to drag this back on topic, but does anyone (from either side ) think Onuoha + Jo would be a good deal for Lescott?

No. But we're grateful to them for taking Jo on loan.

Nedum wont be leaving regardless of the player involved this has been made clear.

Unlike Everton we mean it and have the resources to back it up. Therefore its a pointless question.

Well, seing as no-one else is doing it, I decided to ask the Oracle.

So, after asking the pre-entered question:
You asked:
Is my husband cheating on me?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Oracle replied:
Things look very, very gloomy, I’m afraid.

Which is a very interesting development in itself, I asked:

You asked:
When will Manchester City sign Lescott?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Oracle replied:
March 2nd, 2022.

So, there you have it.

I'm ITK.

absolutly not. ned is irreplaceable, future england captain, and like it or not, jo has potential to be a very very good player

rather pay 30m for lescott (10m more than we should) than give tem these two

More a case of Jó leaving rather than you letting him go. He prefers to play for a manager who has a 1st clue, same as JL!
