they should be eating our hand off for a 15mil bid..they're skint and less than two weeks ago we've loaned them their first-choice striker FFS

Step away from the keyboard and give me 50 for your sins .

If you think Everton will accept 15 mill for Lescott , you need to go back to bed , and actually wake up this time before coming down stairs .

You've just offered £40 million for Terry .
I thought £20 mill may have gotten you close , but now I expect City to have to go much higher after the Terry saga . City are now getting a bit desperate to put the final piece in their jigsaw , and I think Everton can exploit this to the full , even though they have stated to their own shareholders that noone is for sale .
I expect Everton to hold out untill they have a few transfers completed , if not hold out completely and keep Lescott .

£15-18 plus Richards or £25 - 30 mill :o)

everton will accept £15m, they are desperate for cash and had to drop out of the bidding for 2 sheff utd players after they were told by sheff utd the deal had to be completed by today or it was off. they need to sell before they can buy. lescott wants to come and it will be on our terms not evertons.

Wolves get a percentage of the money due to sell on clause don't they. I still can't see them turning down about 18 mill though.

What?? £25-30m for a centre back who's had one (at most two) good season with 6 England caps? Are you absolutely insane?? Words fails me... I'm not going to say anything else, I'm speechless! WTF!

Ultimately money talks and Everton need the cash, if the final figure is £15M then this will be a big profit. Our owners are international business men and will not be held to ransom, so stop believing what you read in the papers about how much has been bid, when have we bid £40M for Terry? Getting desperate? how do you come to that conclusion? its more likely that Kenwright is desperate to get has much money as he can and don't you think that if there is any truth in the JL rumors then arrangements would have been put in place during the JO loan deal?

I don't think we are desperate (well not yet),I should imagine many clubs would like City knocking on their door enquiring about about a player. I think Hughes has some what limited his search to proven Premiership players (apart from Eto'o) which has also limited his choice, but we have a plenty of time to get a decent defence together before the panic sets in.

Although I agree with you on the point that we will have to pay more than 15 million for Lescott, probably more like 25 million.

Terry is a completely different commercial proposition to Lescott in my opinion mate - the fact is that Terry is a leader as well as a top defender, he will be invaluable in what is basically a new side (only Steven Ireland is a likely starter from Sven's team) also he is the captain of his country in a world cup year - this means a heck of a lot to our owners. I also do not think Micah is going anywhere, we do not need to sell him and Sturridge went cos he would not sign a reasonable deal, but Micah is lready on a huge salary - frankly one which is higher than I would imagine Everton could afford. I think JL will come to us but I think it will take £20M. By the way I think you have a top manager and I hate to think what he could do with the amount of cash we have.
